The last thing Star Ocean fans need is another excuse to stare longingly at the Internet while they patiently wait for confirmation of Tri-Ace’s sexy PSP remakes of Star Ocean 1 & 2 (retitled “First Departure” and “Second Evolution” respectively) coming stateside. At least they can set the mood now with some appropriate music. For those of you who like a good tease, check out Square Enix Music’s promotional page for Second Evolution’s Original Soundtrack.
The album goes on sale May 2 priced at 3000 yen and consists of 2 CDs-worth of Motoi Sakuraba’s masterful reuse of the same 7 songs. The soundtrack also comes with a DVD containing the game’s intro sequence, a promotional video, and some character art. Be sure to check out the sample tracks on the promotional page.
