The third installment in the Valkyrie Profile series now has a release date for Japan.  On the official Japanese website for the upcoming game, Square Enix revealed news that Valkryie Profile: The Accused One will be released on October 2, 2008 for the Nintendo DS.  Unfortunately for the North American and European fans waiting, there has not been a date set as of yet.

The main theme for the Valkyrie Profile series is based off Norse mythology.  In Valkryie Profile: The Accused One, the main character is a soldier named Wylfred.  Thanks to Hel, the Queen of Niflheim, he is given a magic feather that will help him in his journey to avenge his father’s soul, which was taken by Lenneth and the other Valkyries.  Wylfred’s dear companion Ansel and a girl from Niflheim named Ailyth will acompany him through is journey.
