So I've started playing Rhapsody for DS and it's going quite well. The game is easy so I'm breezing through it. I was about to finish the second chapter of the game when suddenly my DS crashes and turns completely black. I thought maybe something just happend so I booted up the game again only to have it occur once more. I figured I did something wrong so I tried once more. Every time the game crashed into a double black screen. Totally sucks.

Ever have some glitches occur that made to particularly mad. Off the top of my head I can't think of some but once in a while my 360 will crash but luckly most games have auto save features so nothing is ever lost.

Myst for the DS is full of glitches. At least twice I had to go back and do a puzzle over again because the game glitched out. It was random things like a pass code would stop working for no reason or the buttons along the bottom of the screen would all turn into replicas of the area you were in at the moment. All of the glitches were fixable by restarting the game, but like I said, sometimes you would lose progress which can be frusterating in a puzzle game.

I once bought Vagrant Story for the PS One. Never got too far before my copy kept glitching while I was trying to solve a puzzle. I never got around to taking it back to the store, and I never played the game again.

This used to happen to me when I used to play 8-bit games as a kid. Freezing and restarting. Also with a few playstation games, but I just can't recall which ones they were.

Well..Recently, my older bro's KH2 save file corrupted. So now he has to go from lvl80 to maxing out his stats again.

As for Rhapsody, I never had any glitches with the game. Probably cause I have the installed version but uhh yeah you know what i mean ;p.

I've had some bad experiences with consoles malfunctioning, if that counts. I've gone through a few PS2s and both my GBA and DS glitch out on a lot of games (some games, like Mario Kart DS, won't load at all). The sad part is I treat them with the best of care, and I've never dropped either a console or handheld. My younger brother, on the other hand, has dropped his DS numerous times and still continues to work flawlessly. Well, it's was more durable than his Zen Micro, iPod, and laptop, I guess. He's a fucking disaster area. But I digress.

That use to happen with a lot of games just from dust getting into the bottoms. That's where the "blowing" technique came from. That works sometimes but there are other methods that also get the job done.

As a note, blowing into cartridges is a short-term solution, but isn't recommended if you care about the longevity of your cartridges. Cotton swab + alcohol is a better method.

Yeah, my brother and I used to blow into the cartridges. Brings back memories.

My Gyromite continues to work just fine thank you very much.

For sure. That's why I mentioned that there are other methods of cleaning or getting the carts to work. Another classic is to jostle the cart while it's inside the console. It works surprisingly well. That or putting some soft moisture, slowly breathing into the cart, also works.

Fable 2: My wife duplicated herself and I can't sell the extra house. So I take her out of Bowerstone and to Oakfield to live somewhere else and have a kid with her there and everything. Then I take the clone from Bowerstone outside to die. She does and it says child services have taken my kid.

So what happened was, the game decided to let me have the Oakfield copy and left the Bowerstone wife alone. So she's still there and the family I want is dead. I need to figure out how to solve this because I still can't sell the house and the wife is nowhere to be found. I just may be screwed...

I tell people this all the time and they don't believe me. It's like shaking a developing polaroid photo: everyone does it but it's wrooong!! I have never cleaned any of my carts though, I just kind of wiggle it when it's in the system and try again until it works. It usually only takes ones or two tries.
