Did anyone do any Black Friday shopping this year? I was at Best Buy, waited there over night, and got many games and camera...=p

I went to Old Navy and got a 1gb mp3 player for free. I'm still trying to find someone who wants it. I have no use for it. But I also got some super cute clothes. I didn't really need anything besides clothes. I just went shopping out of tradition sake. The lines were all horrid.

Naturally there is no black friday for me here locally, however, I bought four ties from Nautica which were on sale and with a thanksgiving coupon I got from them they slashed 15% off the price, fee shipping for being an over 100 sale, came about 108. They are pretty standard ties, nice though.

And this is why. Some of these people are fucking nuts. Three people dead for a good deal, honestly. And I'm sure there were more. However, there were some deals that were almost tempting enough but then I think, screw that, it's just not work the big pain in the ass.

I become claustrophobic around large crowds, so, no, I didn't go. In fact, I tend to get all of my Christmas shopping done before Thanksgiving, but I'm thrown off this year because it's the first time in 3 years that I've had a boyfriend... so I'm like "oh crap, what do guys like again???"

Im currently working retail at the moment and Ive never once woke up and thought to myself...I might die at work today. Mainly because under normal circumstances would not ever happen. And Im sure that guy had no idea what was coming. Its just ridiculous that this guy lost his life working a temp job at a retail store that really involved no danger at all. And to think that 100s of people were stepping on this guy without a care in the world makes me sick. Shit like this makes me lose hope in humanity. There is something wrong with the world when a good sale is worth more then a mans life.

Anyway I did go shopping. I picked up a bunch of really cheap DVDs to give as presents. I also got Iron Man on Blue Ray for 15 bucks. If I had a little more room on my credit card I would have walked out with a sweet 47" Samsung LCD.

I didn't go because I was horribly hung-over and also broke. But two of my friends managed to beat the worst of the stampede at Wal-Mart by going there at 5:30 A.M. (it was still extremely crowded, even then), and came out of it with some pretty decent laptops for like, $550. So good for them. Maybe I'll participate next year when I'm a little more well-adjusted, economically.

I had to work on Black Friday, so I didn't have a chance to do the shopping I normally wouldn't have done anyway. I like to handicap myself and see how well I can fare getting my shopping done online a week and a half before Christmas. It makes me feel like I've accomplished something.

Also, I hate shopping and whenever I'm in a crowded mall I get that intense urge to run at full speed with my arms outstretched clotheslining people. You know what I'm talking about.
