Dragon Quest Monsters for DS

I was just wondering if there were any games like the rpg game dragon quest monsters that is sort of the same concept and same stuff but a different story. It seemed like it should have been a game that would get a sequal, like pokemon. If you know any games that are somewat the same, please post a comment.

Try Spectrobes. I haven't played it myself, but I do know that it has monster collecting/training elements. And are you aware that there is a Dragon Quest Monsters game for DS? It wasn't exactly clear from your post, you see.

Dragon Quest Monters: Joker is a damn fine game.
A bit tedious, especially when grinding your monsters to level 10 or more for fusion, but that's par for the course for a Dragon Quest game.

Play most SMT games, they're a bit like that, especially Nocturne and Devil Summoner.
