I loathe this show because it's just a way for chavy people to get rich for sitting on their ass all day, however the program can give insight on human psychology, and some times weird things happen.
Not only that but it can be funny some times.

The only Big Brother I care about is from 1984.

Holy ****ing shit. What the hell was that? I've heard about the show, but I've never really known what it's about, or seen it, or had much interest in seeing it, but godDAMN what a bizarre clip that was.

Okay, in big brother they select a few people and lock them in a house for... I don't know how long, but some months. Every week members are put up for eviction and the audience decides who should leave and who should stay. The aim of the game is to stay until the end go get a grand prize of I don't know how much, but loads and basically a lifetime of celebrity life. Big brother has changed a lot from the begging, so far just in England there have been 9 different series of regular big brother and about 5 celebrity big brother series. Each big brother series has a different theme, I think the last theme was based on studying human psychology using some tasks like predicting dreams, twins thinking the same thing and so on, this season they seem to be basing it on secrecy and such by handing out secret missions to the house members. Big brother sets 1-3 tasks each week which determine how much of a shopping budget the house mates get which is used for foot supply and hygienic utensils.
In all it's watchable if you have nothing else to do. It used to be more interesting with the first season because none of the house mates knew how the system worked.
Wiki it. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Brother_(TV_series))
The only time the show is amusing is on European TV(not the US version...it sucks) where the housemates end up ****ing on screen in front of all of the world.
God bless them.
Oh and also....

they do do it on screen, but they don't show it on daily catch ups, you'd have to stay up like and watch all throughout the night to actually see it.

Glory of the internet. Some people are literally crazy enough to do just that and if I come across it, well then all the better.

Not a fan of it at all. I have tempted several times to watch it, but I am just not that big on reality shows. My mother is a huge fan, however.

Same, I actually thought this was about Big Brother from 1984 or how Big Brother is among us in modern times.

I usually watch it. It's always amazing to see what jackasses people will make out of themselves for some money and in hopes of fame. It seems like a lot of people on there think that show is their stepping stone to stardom.
I liked it better before they decided everyone had to be under 35 and beautiful. They should always have a few older folks and freaks in the mix.

I don't understand why that giant pile of dog shit is still being aired.

It does take a bit of the reality out of it. I've never been one to watch Big Brother, but I loved it when an obnoxious celebrity managed to completely destroy her own career by being blatantly racist on Big Brother. Hilariously, the girl she was harrassing managed to get several lucrative deals out of the whole thing.
