Neverwinter Nights

So I booted up this game yesterday and found I couldn't stop playing hours later. It's been a while since I've played, and back then there were a group of ALLRPG people involved and we quested together and whatnot.

So who here still has this game, plays it, or wants to share their experiences with it. I'd like to see if we can get a group started again.

I beat the game about four years ago and loved it. I wish I could play NWN2 but my laptop can't run it. Perhaps once I get a new one.

NWN is the only reason why I moderately understand D&D jokes.

I loved it when I played it, but I always played alone (I had a pirated copy, I believe, so I couldn't play online with others). It was pretty challenging since I'm a sorcerer fanatic, and they're squishyweak.

I'd love to buy a new copy and maybe play with some people, but I don't know how available I'd be.

Got a copy of the Diamond edition. Could reinstall and rejoin, now lagging less due to having a videocard that can actually run things from 2005 and below.

Mine is as well, but I can play online still. Might want to look in to getting a newer download. I have the Diamond cd, but for some strange ass reason, it won't work with Vista. It just doesn't like it. But when I downloaded the most up-to-date version it works. At least in this case I have the original game...so Lone can't say anything...

Diablo 2 is archaic and lame these days. CLICK CLICK CLICK indeed. Neverwinter Nights is diverse and shit.

I might get a new NWN for $20 or something, but I dunno. I need a new online game.

If it does, it does less so than NWN.
If I want a random generated donjon, I would play Dungeon Crawl or Nethack or something. Less clickclickclick in those as well.

When I said archaic, I meant that it wasn't just old. It's also dusty and stuff. I can stretch that to say it's a relic, like an old man could be considered a relic, and in this case it's also got a lot of wrinkles and smells bad. I never liked Diablo 2, though.
