I think most of us have some type of ache or pain that bothers us on a daily basis. For me it's my right shoulder. The rotator cuff was hyper extended back when I was into Karate and sports, and it gives me hell now. My a/c joint is also separated(which is really common). I go to physical therapy now for I have insurance through Starbucks(woot).

Thing is, I really want to start lifting weights again and possibly even pursue martial arts, but with my shoulder problems I may be very limited for awhile.

My right ankle is often sore due to a truck running over it and snapping it in half a couple of years ago. It was a clean break so it healed well, but it still bothers me.

I have really bad knees and ankles, always have. I'm pretty sure it's because when I was born, my legs turned in too far, and when I started to walk, I tripped over my feet. So, the doctors sprained both my ankles outwards, casted them up, and I stayed like that for 3 years.

It worked, I walk normally now, but I do trip a lot still, have sprained both my ankles all on my own a couple of times, and my knees and ankles ache a lot of the time.

My knees ache at the end of each day due to the amount of walking I do at work. My left knee is usually worse than the right. That's about it. I used to suffer from headaches constantly, until I got glasses. :P

I have nerve damage on the right side of my face from a bout of Shingles when I was 21. The technical term is post-herpetic neuralgia. While the nerve damage is significantly less than it was for the first two years after I had the Shingles, I've still got reoccurring week-long migraines, taste bud damage, hearing loss, and just general sensitivity on that side of the head. Used to be, when anyone looked over my right shoulder and happened to breathe on my neck, I'd end up punching them, because it hurt. And most sounds that are loud hurt my ear and trigger a migraine... So I tend to stay away from concerts and other loud things (fairs, circus, etc).

I also found out when I was in high school, that I was born with a rare birth defect, in that I have limited cartridge in both of my knees. This makes them prone to easy sprains. Considering I hadn't sprained a knee until I was already 17, was a pretty good indication that I took good care of them... I've only ever sprained my left knee one other time, and that was about a year and a half ago while at work.

I've also got some weird problem with my wrist, don't know if it actually is carpal tunnel syndrome or not... Years ago I fell on my arm pretty bad (I think I was 13), and it was pretty useless for three years. Now, I have issues with writing for too long, my hand gets incredibly cramped after writing for about 10 minutes. I actually started teaching myself how to write left handed because of this. Still don't write well left handed (the faster I write the worse it gets!), but I'm still working on it.

My chest hurts lots of times, it's whenever I eat certain spicy foods. I have a gastric problem. When I first had the pain, I thought I was having a heart attack.

I'm really not all that surprised by the reactions here, but I'm definitely empathetic with all of you.

Gosh, I remember being a young child and never once did the thought of injury hold me back. Those days are long gone.

I've sprained both my ankles multiple times, so they're extremely susceptible to rolling. It sucks, but it never hurts as bad as the first time. The only thing now is that I'm always cautious on my feet. I can't go down a flight of steps without holding onto something and/or looking straight down at my feet. I can't hop off of a curb without thinking about rolling an ankle. That's not really a chronic ache/pain though. Maybe once every other month I'll have a random persisting pain in one of my ankles for a day or so.

My neck hurts sometimes and need to crack it, but it doesnt work. I blame bad psostures I get into while sleeping. I have a very bad sleep. Sometimes I wake up with my head on the opposite side of where I rested it when falling asleep.

My left foot hurts all the time. i get the pain from driving. I have a manual transmission car so I use my left foot for the clutch pedal. I must be doing something wrong because my foot hurts a ****load.

I also get headaches constantly due to stress. My eyes hurt from staring at a computer screen for roughly at least 14 hours a day.

I have arthritis in my left big toe. And it has limited range of motion so it hurts to walk/run. I've been to a couple doctors but all they said was to stop running. And one of them was a sports doctor. Needless to say I have not followed their advice and hope to get surgery on it when I get a job after I graduate.

If you don't mind, could you expand on the whole N64 story? That sounds fairly entertaining(as much as it sucks about your back).

I'm a jealous bastard, too... but wow.

Good story, dude. That one is definitely going in the AllRPG annals.

Well, there's being a jealous bastard, and then there's hurling video game consoles at someone's spine. I mean, damn.

I have constant pain in my left ribs, I think in the muscle between the two lowest ones. It's never not there o_O I think it's a respiration issue.

I have something that sounds similar, on my right side. It's been there for years, it only used to occur when I bent over wrong, but I'm noticing now it's happening when I turn too far to the left. I don't think it's a resp. thing, I think it's an odd muscle. It's just below my breast, more on the outside of my rib cage, not anything inside. Has to be a muscle, I think.
