Is heaven a place or a state of mind?

A perfect state of mind. Because a perfect place wouldn't be rewarding as it would get boring (at least in my opinion).

Kind of similar to the afterlife thread, no?

It is, jarvolt. But hey, what can you do?

My belief is that heaven isn't black and white has heaven and hell. You don't have to believe in God to go to heaven and you don't have to belong to any religion. I also believe that your soul goes to heaven and later your body is reunited with your soul through resurrection.

I don't know if any of that is real, but that's what going happen when we die.

Why do we have so many afterlife, religion, heaven or hell, satan vs god threads?

SOMETHING needs to start some conflict around here. What better than religion?

Ok, sure...but here's the real important question:

Who is The Drizzle?

:D

The Correct answer is:

BLUE is "The Drizzle..."

Bitches betta' rec'onize!

Just keepin' it real.

^_^

Dave Chapell warned me about keepin' it real, too. It doesn't work too well in the end. Haha.

Is not the same. We are specificly talking about heaven here.

Why do we have so many afterlife, religion, heaven or hell, satan vs god threads? It's overkill and they're basically asking the same question each time: What happens when you die? Know what I think? It doesn't matter because you're dead. :p

It does matter to most people. There is this dude that I know that keep preaching about Christianity to me and say if you don't believe in God, you are doom to hell. I was like WTF? He start talking about Heaven, and how great God is. Ya ya I know but no offense, how can he simply say something like that. So if you kill people and do all the bad things in the world, and one day you say I believe in God, so you will go to heaven instead of hell?

Eh, you probably shouldn't even try. You pretty much have to be totally fluent in doublethink with a few years of experience to really know what you have to do to go to the mythical Abrahamic heavenland.

There is no heaven. I'm not sure how to explain why I belive that I just do.

Well, um, heaven is considered a big part of the afterlife in many religions, so yeah, I would say we are kind of still talking about it.

Anyways. When I was living in my old house, I would always have people come up and down the street that went to every door of the neighborhood to preach about false religion, and how one can reach heaven. Nevertheless, I never could get any kind of conversation about religion going with them because they absolutely had no clue what I was talking about, and frankly, they really did not care. Now, I just walk outside and say, "No thanks."

There is this document you sign when you decide to practice law where it states this "By accepting this hereby document I ________ (from here on "Souless Bloodsucker")appearing name and representation of myself, renounce and waive any right to enter the Great Will's (from here on "God") Heaven and are therefore restricted to Satan's Hell. Furthermore, I, Soulless Bloodsucker, renounce any claim or complaint on being a accepted to God's Heaven based, but not in any way or form being limited to, on: helping the elrderly or disables children, penance, confession, letting your wingman score, giving money to the kid selling gum without actually buying his gum, reading the Bible."

So, i dont like to theorize about how heaven is like as I am not going there. They say is boring though and Hell is filled with strippers.

I don't believe that there is a heaven. I believe in life, death, a possible spiritual residue (ghosts, if you will) and reincarnation.

Jarrid

I have been leaning towards the idea of reincarnation with most of the psychology books I have been reading, but I suppose I could say that could be explained by the Akashic field theory. Not quite sure, yet.

What if you get sucked into a black hole, though? Residue wouldn't last in a black hole.

If there is a heaven I hope they have the internet - that would make it all worthwhile.

I like to think that when we die our energy transfers into some form of higher consciousness. But then again I've been watching What the Bleep! and that stuff messes with my head.

The only reason anyone ever goes to heaven is sin. If Adam and Eve had never sinned, they would have continued to live on this planet, enjoying the beauty of creation as they walked close in relationship with their Creator. However, Adam's sin brought death into the world. Now all people must die - an event that separates their souls from their bodies. Their bodies immediately begins to decay, but their soul continue to live, either in hell with the damned or in heaven with Jesus Christ ... The souls stay in heaven is merely temporary .... The Christians hope is not merely that our departed souls will rejoice in heaven, but that they will reunite with our resurrected bodies.

Heaven is a land where there is always an evil organization to be fought, so that all generations may know that nothing wins the justice!
