Hey I was wondering what are your opinions on Pok?mon? I started way back when Red/Blue came out. At first I thought it was new and exciting. It was easy to fall in love with the little guys. And there was the journey of tracking someone down with a link cable to trade your Kadabra / Machoke / Graveler / Haunter.

So then came Gold/Silver... I guess I tolerated the bump of Pok?mon species alright. After all, it was strongly hinted in the anime. So again I fell in love with it all over again. The new Pok?dex and trainer tools made it all the more interesting.

I completely skipped Ruby/Sapphire but to my knowledge that brought in a piece of the game I came to utterly despise: The EV training system. While I like how it paves the way for competitive play, I kind of want to say that Pok?mon just sold its soul to such a mindset at this point.

I played Diamond / Pearl. I loved to hate that I didn't know over a good half of the species at this point. But when I brought up the notion of the game, everybody just nerded me out about EV training. And through that, I think Pok?mon just lost its purity.

What are your opinions?

I loved playing the GB Pokemon games. The first I played was Pokemon Blue. I was absolutely addicted to the darn thing. What I really loved to do was use my Gengar against opponents who didn't know that he was immune to physical attacks. Great stuff.

I started playing back in middle school when it first came out. I didn't have a handheld, so I played it on my Emulator, and drew pictures in class. I think I may have drawn all 151 of the original ones at one point in time.

I then played Yellow, Silver, Gold, Crystal, Ruby Red, Pokemon Snap, Pokemon Stadium, and Pokemon: Gale of Darkness. I still play my Diamond version from time to time when I'm bored.

Pokemon was my first portable game which I started playing at the age of 9 when it was the big thing. When I turned 12 I sort of thought I was getting old for it and it would just be one of the other secrets I would hide in my closet. But When I turned 15, and with the release of Emerald I started playing again. Been back in love with it since then. It has to be one of the best RPGs out there, the problem is that people constantly under estimate it.

My favorite Pokemon are Alakazam, Vespiquen, Gengar and Lucario.

I have played quite a few of them, but I honestly think I have really only enjoyed Red and Blue. I can not really seem to get into the others like I did with the first ones.

Sigh... I miss this obsession, I really do. Thinking back upon it brings back so many fond memories of sitting with my friends, trying to figure out how to get Mew without cheating, etc, etc.

I loved Pokemon when it first came out and for a couple years past, but now it's just a nostalgaic memory that will always be remembered. Many friends, many hours of fond gameplay; Pokemon definitely helped bring me into the gaming world and for that, I'll never forget those little guys.

I played Red, Blue and Green. I hated Green because your first pokemon is ...holy shit forgot his name. Didnt like Yellow because I always hated Pikachu.

I played a bit of Crystal but didnt got through.

Pokemon was one of my first RPGs that i finished, or played for more than an hour, alongside Super Mario RPG. I have always wanted to play a 3D pokemon rpg, did they made this already? It has been a damn while and they should release this if they havent. Then again I haven played in a whileand now those 151 pokemons are gone and replaced by probably thousands.

I also watched the tv show. Did I sing the intro song? You bet your sweet virging ass, also the pokerap.

You guys really have to try Diamond and pearl if you have a DS. It is not as good and simple as Blue and Red but it's definitely better than all the other ones, and since it can connect to the Internet we can fight each other and trade through the Internet, how cool is that?

I've heard good things about Pearl. I might want to play it. Although, all of those new poke****s are kind of intimidating.

The main pokedex is still 150, and you don't get much fro catching all the 482(is that how many there are?). And there are always about 20 veteran pokemon included in that pokedex.

I never got Mew because I heard the only way to get him was through Gameshark(or under the truck).

I figured I'd check youtube about how to catch Mew... and wtf! This is crazy and so beyond anything that I'd ever think of... anyways, check this out.

I also can't find my Pokemon Blue cartridge, so I can't currently test this out. One of you guys should.

Well, I am glad you tried it out. I definitely was not going to start a new game up and see if it works. Way too much time and trouble for one little thing like Mew. I never liked the design to Mew, anyway.

Yes. I got the nostalgic urge for the good old Pokemon and found out about the remake so i went for it.

That and Emerald doesnt seem to work on my "GAMEBOY".
