EDIT: Oh gosh, I hope this isn't superfluous (I just realized Sushi has a similar thread). OH WELL, they're obviously different!

I used to study several types of martial arts, including Tae Kwon Do, Jujitsu, Kickboxing, and Judo. Then, after my Sensi moved and I couldn't find any other adequate teachers close by my home, I (unfortunately) gave that up. Actually, my dream was to do it professionally--I even won a gold in Judo.

But life went on. I took up skateboarding like the rest of California in the 90's, then BMXing, and then weightlifting (which led to me hurting my rotator cuff). Still need an MRI on my shoulder, but the doctor wants me to do physical therapy first.

Chess is the closest thing to sport I do now. Or, does throwing grapes off my wall and catching them in my mouth count?

Discuss.

I've just started kendo and fencing (so when I'm attacked in an alley, I can rip a leg off a chair that will conveniently be sitting there and beat the living crap out of someone with it) and also rather enjoy basketball. However, being about 5'4, basketball does not enjoy me.

I'm determined to learn how to play cricket before this year is through.

I'm 5'2 and for basketball and me the love is mutual.

It's super easy (played it in gym a lot.)

I played basketball and fastpitch softball competitively, and used to swim as well. I'll play just about anything casually, and I also run and snowboard.

Oh yeah? Was it blind cricket????? (just kidding, but there are people who do play blind). Cricket seems like it would be interesting to learn.

I use to play all kinds of sports. Football, baseball, street hockey, ice hockey, basketball. I was doing Tae Kwon Do for a number of years at one point as well. Now I just don't have enough friends around where I live to get anything together so I just hit the gym. I was getting into Frizbee pretty hard last year.

I did baseball, basketball, and track and field in high school. For the last 4 years I've been playing disc golf competitively. Going to the world championships this year as an amateur. :)

The Varsh played baseball when he was younger but his true love has always been hockey. The Varsh is allllll about him some hockey. Street, ice, on foot you name it The Varsh has played it. The Varsh even used to make mock seasons using 10 sided dice and the actual schedule of games for each day. Yeah...super nerdy action time go!

I used to play basketball, football, and baseball when I was younger. I was pretty good at baseball. However, these days I play golf and pool. I suck ass at golf but I'm pretty damn good at pool.

I can't even believe I forgot golf. I'm sure that you are still better then my Poly. I have played a full round of 18 only once in over 3 years (too expensive to play in Asia) and when I did play it was pretty bad. That and courses are made typically for right handed players because the majority of players use that hand. Makes my job on course even more difficult aside from a few holes that left handed players can be good at.

Yeah, I don't get out much either. I only got out twice last year and thus I sucked big time, like 20 over par. I just don't have the natural talent for golf, but it's still a lot of fun. I must have a natural talent with pool cause I can go without playing for months, play and suck for one maybe two games and before I know it I'm clearing the table.

I wish I could play that well with golf.

Through middle school and Highschool I played in a LOT of sports...Sadly, the M.S. prevents me from doing much of that steadily anymore.

Anyway, I played football(Linebacker and Power Halfback), Hockey(Right Defenseman and Right Wing), Lacrosse(attacker or midfielder, occasionally), Baseball(Second Base) and a few other little things...I loved Football, Lacrosse and Hockey most. In that order, I think.

Lot of weed there, I bet. ;)
From what I understand the professionals smoke a lot... but not on the course. Trying to legitimize the game and whatnot. The parties will be interesting.

I played Baseball, Hockey, Soccer and Swam as a youth. I'm still pretty good at baseball when I play with my peers, since my hand-eye coordination is kind of scary. I forgot how to skate, though (I am a bad Canadian) and am not fit enough for long bouts of Soccer. I used to swim competitively but also stopped that. I had such potential.

Basketball and tennis. And as for the quasi-sports, I snowboard and inline skate as well.

And back in my day, I was on my school's hockey, basketball, and soccer teams. I was also into track at one time, but my high school didn't participate in that, so after middle school I had to drop that shit. And although I never joined a team, I was always very good at baseball. I guess that would have to do something with it being THE sport when I was younger. I used to play that shit all the time.

And lately I've been thinking about picking up squash. I've only played it once, but I've watched it a few times and it looks intense. And I also like the vegetable, so I can't go wrong there.

Basketball... thats it lol. One summer I literally played for at least 3 hours everyday. I got myself in awesome shape and then I moved and had to sell my hoop. I havent played in years. Every time I see a game it really makes me want to play.

Throughout school I played football, basketball, tennis and track. As i am now an old fart and way out of shape, I play golf(poorly, I might add).
