View Full Version : The Future

When I think of the future, it is not good. While I tend to think of myself as an optimist, realistically, I just can't get around the facts. I envision a world of chaos; and if not total chaos, then some form of it. Humans are crazy, and it is in our nature to push the limits, I believe. I think we'll push the envelope too far. Maybe we would be better off in some Equilibrium society? No. Definitely not. We have to find out for ourselves. Our petty American Dreams are going to be shattered here real soon with all this economic frenzy going about.
Maybe I've read too many post-apocalyptic novels; perhaps not.
Don't get me wrong, I'm hopeful. I want the best for us all. It's just that, truly, it is a mad world. Societies usually have a time-limit, too. Let's just hope we can make it past the 300 year mark.
The future. Is it ridden with sorrow and gloom? Or is it some type of paradise? You know, the perfect world. Maybe something out of the movies. The Matrix, perhaps? Does technology play a vital role? Tell us your thoughts.

That might be the most hilariously contrived thing I have ever read.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: not until 2015. I can see it all happening. LHC discovers crazy shit, we go to Mars, we get hoverboards.

Fuck the hoverboards, I want a flying DeLorean.
EDIT: On a side note, have you seen the 2008 DeLorean? :O
