Yeeeess! Summer is almost upon us! We've already had the pleasure of having some scorchers here in Nova Scotia, which is exceptional for this time of year but very much welcome. Anyone have some fun plans for the summer?

I get to go to Toronto for a weekend in order to attend a job interview, it should be fun. I hope it's not too hot that weekend, I've heard the summer heat can be pretty brutal in that city and I don't want to go to a job interview all sweaty and greasy. Sadly, there will be no super awesome vacation for me this summer, I have to save up for a potential big move later in the year.

Sooo... everyone else must have better summers lined up! Right??

I'm in a complete panic about my summer. I go home on Saturday from London and had planned to volunteer at the hospital. However, they got my dates confused and it turns out I'm missing orientation and they really don't want to train someone to only work for 3 weeks (though I'm still trying to convince them). My other internship fell through and there are no summer jobs where I live- particularly over a month after everyone else would have gotten them. At this point it's not even a matter of doing a job I don't want to do- there just isn't ANYTHING.

So I'll be studying for the GRE and hoping to find somewhere to volunteer. It's a shame that msot places only have once a month trainings and they're almost always at the beginning of the month.

Brutal heat in Toronto is because of how filthy the city is, it's like the dirt in the air gathers head and shoves it down your throat (which is sore from filthy air). !

I'm anxious for it to get hot in Montreal. We've had a day or two so far, but it's been raining for a few days now. Should settle into warmness pretty soon and I can go read in the park by the lake.

A week ago the weather was beautiful here. Hot, sunny, nice... but the last few days have been brutal. It was actually hailing yesterday it was so cold. I had to turn the furnace on for the first time in like a month or so.

I can't wait for the summer heat to hit.

Well, I already went on vacation to Maui. Now I'm waiting to get my LeBaron back from body and paint so I can get the suspension, interior, brakes, and clutch done so I can go racing. All the while trying to get my business going. I have a lot of meets planned with a few different car groups. Different racing events. I should be moving as well.

I would like to take a trip to Europe but it will probably have to wait until next year.

The summer heat starts here a month or so before spring officially begins. :P

I don't have any solid plans for the summer, other than working. Probably going to look for a job back in the "city" and, if all goes well, start working on relocating. Fun, fun. I'll probably throw in a trip to the beach at some point.

Need a translator? ;)

It's finally summer here in London and swiftly went from comfy to stiflingly hot in my room (with no air conditioning or fan). But next week when I'm in Atlanta it will be in the 90Fs and humid. Blech.

Dude, I don't even remember it getting hot in Montreal. Last summer I was there, it barely broke 20.

We dont really have summer here, it just a state of mind since all year is like either Hot as fucking hell or Hot as fucking hell with some rain, however I am planing to spend my 25th bday in Las Vegas and then stay the week between July 13 to July 20 in California, mostly LA but I want to check out San Francisco and Santa Monica.

I don't have access to a TV regularly but when I do, I watch Top Gear pretty regularly. I just ignore all the techy stuff ;)

Oh, it gets hot. It definitely feels hotter than it actually is, though, because it's incredibly humid and dry. It's the kind of hot heat, you know? That sort of thing. I imagine there are dozens of American cities that are twice are scorching, but as if I'd know. It must be the humidity.

You'd have to ask someone smarter. Durr!

Actually, I believe humid heat is far more dangerous though to be exposed to. The humidity on the skin makes it harder for your body to sweat naturally. Yes, growing up in southern Texas, you're required to know these things. :o

It gets unbearingly hot down here. Well, maybe for someone who was foreign to these parts.

I hate the summer.

Summer is what I live for. Swimming, golfing, grilling, partying, traveling.

Quite true. I grew up (and am soon returning to) a home with a swamp for a backyard. Pure hell.

When I was in Spain a few weeks ago, it was 90 degrees and I barely felt it. It was so comfortable I assumed it was somewhere closer to 75. Had it been 90 in Atlanta, I would have not left air conditioning. :P

It's the same here, it is so humid in the summer. The humidex is always over 90% in the summer. I don't care though, I live for the type of warmth where all you can do is lounge around wearing hardly anything in front of the fan! Ahh... I can't wait...

Of course this summer I have to work. For the past couple of summers I've taken summer courses, which was by far the best way I've spent any summer.

well I am moving down to Tampa this July. I plan on going back home to Michigan for a few weeks on leave, and after that working out and running everyday, work and well getting my first tat (now that I almost have it done completely). and I also plan on picking up surfing again. now that I will be stationed in a place where I can actually get good waves (VA beach was not the best place to start, and new england sucks for it period). and also start recording the songs I wrote on the new apple I am getting in a few months.

also plan on starting a few night classes working on my Electrical Engineering degree. I plan on being pretty busy during the whole summer.

My summer will mostly consist of work. Pretty boring.

Summer here is awful and it makes me want to die. I plan on going to Anime Expo with some friends. I don't like anime that much but I like going to cons and meeting amateur artists. The rest of my summer is dedicated to finding a job and working on my freelance stuff (which I don't/won't get much of).
