The Last Remnant didn't set the sales charts ablaze and is looking like it's PS3 version is all but buried. Sad to hear for people looking forward to the release.

This game probably would have done alot better originally released on the ps3 not the 360 IMO.
That and without the eagles nest entirely.

I heard it was choppy and that the PS3 version was supposed to correct those mistakes, so that's a shame.

How so? The PS3 has a smaller userbase than the 360, and it would have been more expensive for Square Enix to develop it for the console exclusively.

I have the PC version, outside from the texture pop-in there really hasn't been the issues many 360 owners claim. It's a failry decent game that seemed to be attacked more on its technical issues and it's somewhat standard cliched JRPG characters. The organization and battle system of the game, however, doesn't really follow many other JRPGs.

Yeah, I could have dealt with the cookie-cutter characters with a bit more leniency if it weren't for the fact that game has a snail's pace, and the gameplay mind-numbingly convoluted and repetitive.
I want to get back to playing at some point, since I do own it and all. It's a shame the PS3 version was cancelled, because that would have at least given me some motivation.

Just seems like more of the hardcore RPG fans would be more likely to purchase a PS3 as most games for the 360 the polar opposite of JRPGs.

And yet the 360 started out with more jRPGs than the PS3. Lost Odyssey, Eternal Sonata, Blue Dragon, etc.

Still though in the mind of the JRPG gamer in the USA wouldn't you have expected more JRPGs to appear on the PS3 then the 360? Also I foresee that more JRPGs will end up on the Wii then anywhere else as the cheap dev. costs and fact that everyone and their mother owns one is a large appeal to JRPG makers whose games have not been received well on the Xbox 360.

The 360 has more RPGs as a whole. Even Cross Edge, which was a PS3 exclusive, is now coming over to the 360. That doesn't leave too many games on the PS3, being exclusive or not. Valkyria Chronicles and White Knight Chronicles being the only 2 that instantly come to mind.
The Wii isn't getting too many exclusives as of yet either. Dragon Quest X being the biggest. The most interesting thing coming to North America on the Wii front has to be that a Sakura Taisen game is finally seeing the light of day across the Pacific.

Shame, may suggest that SE's Last Remnant PC experiment may not have worked too well. Hopefully they won't give up on the PC (for totally selfish reasons seeing it's the only thing I have capable of running modern games). And the 360 has looked like the home for JRPGs so far this gen.
