Specifically, the random little occurrences that leave you saying "**** YEAH!"
My first entry (any truly internet savvy user will appreciate this):
Woot-Offs.

-Two for one promotions at bars.
-When a girl accepts a date, no matter how many times you have asked a girl ad she has said yes, everytime its special, you waiting for her answer, and might even think she could say no at any moment, and then she says yes. This however is not always awesome regrettably, but it purely depends on a girl. I once asked this girl out and she accepted by nodding repeatedly and making a funny face while doing which I found to be the complete opposite of cute.

When a cop is following behind you and suddenly turns his lights on. You go to pull over and then the cop speeds off somewhere else. It's great.

Waking up to your alarm at 6am and realizing it's Saturday and you can sleep in as late as you want.
Thats indeed awesome, except when you cant go back to sleep. That happened to me today.
For some reason, I didnt deactivated my alarm for today, so it rang at 6:45. I woke up, sleepy and checked my phone (the alarm) to see what day it was as i was sure it was saturday but as I was sleepy i read it was friday and freaked out, jumped out of bed and carefully checked the day again, and it was saturday.
Tried to go back to sleep but couldnt, I went online instead.

You should spend time with them...your head would explode at their awesomness... My nephew Austin, loves his Wii, he's only 7. He kicks his older brother's ass at most games, and his older brother, my nephew Christian, is 12...so he can't stand to be beaten by his younger brother...so he starts to refuse to play him. He even kicks my ass at SSBB, and I'm a bad ass with Kirby. Austin could also use a computer when he was 4...I mean, he could hop onto it, get into internet explorer, then load up games online.
Madison, my niece, is 3 years old, and she LOVES books and loves being read to. I've never ever seen a kid love books this much.
They are both the two most awesome kids...ever.
- Fringes are awesome.
False statements are always false.
getting to sleep in as late as you want then having nothing you have to do all day.

While working you realize that it's really Friday, cause' Friday's are awesome. Or perhaps you think it's early when it's close to quitting time. Granted, if you have something due then it sucks ass. Otherwise, totally awesome.

Just the feeling of alcohol when you haven't drank in a while.
Jarrid
06-23-2008, 05:45 AM
Yeah, that is a great feeling. However, I feel that way every time I drink my first cold one of the night, especially if it is some really good beer.
Edit: Yeah, Dire. I agree with that as well.
And now, in the vain of my "Things that Piss Me Off" series...
Things that are Awesome, Series 1:

Laying outside on my picnic table in the rain at night. This one gets extra points if I have company.

Finding new music that really speaks to you, even without words, is pretty awesome.
And D&D is awesome, Hyde. Hell, I even have my kids playing now, we were messing around last week. :)
Discovering a space heater after shivering in bed all night.
Making split decisions to travel halfway accross the country without even considering funds, bills, or my job. Financial instability is the way to go. *thumbs up*

Yeah, I might be there with you on that one pretty soon, Tom.
I figure that once my lease is up, I'm just going to hit the road and bum around in my car till the next college semester starts up. It would be a good opportunity to travel to any of the US and Canada that I haven't yet been to.

If a couple of us lived near you, Dire, I say we should throw a nice little shin-dig. Some drinks, music, and maybe a fire to sit around, and we would be set.
Seeing Jacki at work. Too bad she doesn't post anymore.

That would be great, but no one lives near me. I don't think I've ever run into anyone online who lives near me. No wait, Tommy lived near me, if anyone here remembers that little jackass. Not someone I'd want to visit with.

Eww Zune!
Atlas

I don't like it either, Phak, but Dire is cool enough to where she actually makes the Zune acceptable. ;)
Jarrid
07-01-2008, 06:38 PM
I heard the Zune is not that bad from a friend at work, but hey, I still like my pod, so I am not going to change any time soon.
Things that are awesome:
Seeing the girl that I have been talking to over the phone for over a month in person. I thought at first this was going to be a big mistake because I had doubts, but I was the happiest son of a bitch in the world last night. I am glad I spent all that time talking with her and taking the risks that I did. It is all worth it, and it is going to get even better as the week progresses. :D

Awesome: I passed the CBEST! WOOT! (California Basic Educational Skills Test. For the unknowing- it's one of two tests needed to be accepted into the credential program in California...the second one can be bypassed if you have enough coursework to show you are well versed in the subject matter you are interested in getting your credential in.)
Not Awesome: Discovering there's a course I need to take as a prereq before I can even start the credential program, so I won't begin working on my credential until Spring 09. Sigh.

I think my shitty old ****ed up Compaq laptop bought in 2004 is awesome too, but its still fugly, like the Zune.
Unlike the Zune, my laptop became that way from years of neglect, the Zune was born that way, like Atlas.
BURN!

I love the Zune, but since they upgraded the software, it (the software) sucks ass.
I've never had a problem with my Zune, it sounds great, works great, picture is clear. I like it.
