What makes it so scary? Try not to spoil it, but tell me why it's scary. Everyone I know has been freaked out by this film.

This movie is at the centre of a remarkable swirl of discussion in Vancouver's independent film community, and I would imagine all over North America at the moment. I haven't seen it, but so many people I know that have, can't stop talking about it in one form or another. Good or bad, it's generating talk. It just keeps racking up the dollars too. Jesus. And all on a budget of $15,000. Who knows if these filmmakers will ever see success again, but for the time being, they are indie gods.

Well, that is just sad. I hate hearing that a movie I think may be good in fact is not. And it's not just you, DK, quite a few people have said the same thing. Bummer.

I saw it, but I'm pretty sure all the crazy hype eventually stems from some marketing agent. Not amazing, but a decent full-on horror movie is a nice change of pace from the torture shit that's all the rage now.

I'm a little late, but yeah, it was a waste of money. The most intriguing part of the movie was DevilKing taking a piss in the movie theater. :D

The girl I went with was freaked out, however I found it to be rather bland. and the ending was very dissapointing. tons of potential story was skipped.

bad movie for people not easilly scared.

I thought the movie was interesting but only scary in retrospect. Like how you watch The Exorcist and laugh but then later you're looking around making sure there's no questionable activity going on in your house. I think the movie would have had a real creepy, lasting effect if it didn't explain what the entity was.
