I got it in the mail from America last week. Playing it now. Really enjoying it, although I'm not too sure about the mission system. I usually view KH as free-play, so I feel a bit restricted by what I can do in a world for example, but I can live with it. I just want to know what's going on with this number XIV business.

I've been mulling this one over for a while actually, but I really just can't make up my mind about it. I loved the first three games, but... I don't know. I feel like I might have grown out of my love for KH, ya know? Is it a lot like the PS2 ones? Maybe you can help me make up my mind? :)

It is actually quite a bit like the PS2 one. I mean the battle system is pretty much the same. You learn a lot about what the previous games didn't tell you about nobodies and the keyblade and all that jazz. there are some twists that I wasn't expecting.

The character development is kind of weird. Put chain of memories together with final fantasy X and you've got this games system.

The plot moves along with missions, which means you can't really freely explore the worlds at your will, on the plus side there's a multi player mode and you can play as any organization character, which is cool i guess.

Okay, so... at least I won't get lost since I won't be running around randomly? Does the gameplay system actually work well on the DS though? It seems like it could be a pain in the ass if it's like the PS2 one (which was kind of a pain sometimes when things were hectic).

What kind of stuff can you do in multiplayer? Is it like a VS setup, co-op, etc?

I might have more motivation if I could actually remember the plot from the previous games haha. It's really hard to remember for some reason.

Yeah it surprisingly works pretty well actually. It can get hectic but that's the beauty of it.

I'm not sure I haven't actually played it with anyone but i know you can do co-op. Also when you do missions on multi-player you get points which you can exchange for gifts in the moogle store.

you can probably find a website that refreshes your memory. It's worth it. The story may be complicated but the rules of the universe of kingdom hearts really wrap up in the end, the more games the more you can understand about it.

Just so you "days" starts from the moment that Sora releases Kairi's heart and becomes a heartless in KH1 and goes through castle oblivion until (i'm gessing) the begining of 2.

Just to represh your mamory, when sora becomes a heartless, this means that a nobody is born(you learn this in KH2) and Roxas is Sora's nobody. Roxas is a strong nobody so I gets selected by the organisation XIII. and that's basically where it starts.

Oh yeah, I forgot how complicated this story got XD haha

Hmmm... I'll probably have to wait until I get back to the states to buy it. I can't say I really feel like trying to decipher the story in Japanese >_>

haha, don't even get me started on how hard it is for me to follow a Japanese video game's dialogue completely. I can keep up with a good majority of it, but... let's just say it's no easy task :p
