There are many reasons why Final Fantasy sucks. At least according to Scott, where he dives into all of them in a short-but-eloquent rant.

~ Okay first of all let me get this out of the way: If a hot girl came to his house... wait that wouldn't happen. I find it funny how he's so superficial and can't take care of his own image.

~ I don't think male final fantasy characters look like girls. I think they look like normal young people, at least in places that I've lived in anyway.

~ It's good that the games don't have characters in different stories because it lets you explore different aspects of the formula of final fantasy through different characters thus improving the value of characterization in each game.

~ Insulting turn-based battle system? what the fuck? this just proves that the guy obviously has had no experience with RPGs, therefore making his "review" altogether invalid.

~ I love how he thinks he's got this Eminem thing going on all through out and trying to act like he's cool while calling everyone a nerd. Please... I've seen cooler candles.

~ And I'm sorry but WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH THAT T-SHIRT OVER A JUMPER?!?! I just can't figure out what he was thinking when he woke up the morning he was going to film this. "oh yeah this T-shirt has a tux print on it, it's so decimating and it goes well with the sunglasses I HAVE to wear because they make me look cool!!! But it's kinda chilly outside my trailer park, so I'll wear this jumper underneath"

This is no a rant of a manly guy who knows what he's talking about, this is the confession of an insecure guy, it's all there, the name calling, the body actions the comparison between the look of the guy who gets the girls he wants to bang and the girls he wants to bang.

The funny thing is that I cant tell if he was serious or it was all just a joke. Either way I think its hilarious. As a fan I cant not laugh because most of what he said is true. And its not like he said anything that hasnt been said a million times already. That just makes me think its a joke.

Edit: I think it would have been hilarious if he said "If I wanted to watch a 90 minute beautifully rendered cutscene Id go play MGS4."

I completely disagree. I love Final Fantasy games. They saved a company from bankruptcy, hence the title. The first FF game was a last ditch effort to keep Square Enix afloat. I think that the fact that one game title was able to save a whole company is a testament to its success.

I don't think this guy is even worth arguing with. I mean he's a "nerd" who is trying too hard to be a douche, so he can insult other "nerds" for being "nerds". He's going die single and lonely : D

I'm a huge FF fan, but its hard to get butthurt by that vid. That rant is actually very funny, and I can't even take it seriously.

Pay attention to the end of the video: Sure, he attacks Final Fantasy for its lack of 'masculinity', but did you notice his very feminine strut as he walked away? He even has a nice, ample ass typically reserved for female body-frames. What a joke. :D
