Just to clear something up, I always thought people agreed with me when I say that Covenant is the best out of the series. But recent events made me think that some people have their tastes mixed up. So vote.

I cannot forgive Covenant for only one thing, all the bad endings. Other than that, is actually quite good and much better as compared to FTNW in many ways. My personal favourite is still SH1.

I have not played From The New World, only Covenant and Shadow Hearts.
Covenant is a much better game than the first one.

"Some people have their pastes mixed up"? Is it that hard to believe people enjoy the original Shadow Hearts over its shoddy, retarded sequel? In fact, it's quite common really. No need to be a ****ing idiot about it, though. People have opinions. There are no facts present here.

Yes, because, clearly, calling you an idiot is making this about me. I'm sorry that your OP was clearly a reference to me, therefore I'm going to respond. Hm.

Don't jump to conclusions. Truth is I was talking to a friend about two weeks ago about the SH games and he also said he preferred FTNW more than the other which I fail to understand. And your posts brought it back, I just wanted to know the general opinion on this.

Ah ha. I know you fail to understand it, but... yeah, there are a lot of people who like FTNW. It's not that bad of a game.

For me, the 1st Shadow Heart was the best. It had style, it had class, it was funny and it was gothic. Well mixture.

Covenant is certainly the best shadow hearts game I've ever played.

Convent is weak in all aspects - graphic was good but that is about all. Didn't have the same feel as Shadow Heart 1 did. The humor is lame, character design was lame, storyline sucks.

I like all three installments but I played Covenant first, so it holds a little place in my heart. I actually played FTNW before I got my hands on the first SH.

I'm playing the NA version of FTNW now, it is not as bad as my previous playthrough EXCEPT one thing for sure stays the same, Frank is still stupid and a Joachim wannabe. I probably hated it so much because I played the Nihon version previously and didnt quite understand how the whole combo system works. However, FTNW is still very shallow and uncreative since most or almost all of its systems was merely copied from the previous two installment. Very lazy developers! The jokes are lamer in FTNW as compared to Covenent. Nothing beats the Grand Papillion/ Joachim and the curryman. Frank is stupid stupid stupid. Spoilts the whole game. Another complain about FTNW would be it is too short.

Yes, because the Stock system and the fact that everything in FTNW has been tweaked to perfection gameplay-wise is obviously copying from the broken and abusable systems featured in Covenant.
It has more new features than Covenant ever had.

It's a toss up. I love the first because it was much darker, the enemy design was awesome, and the idea was original. At the same time, it had it's flaws. But they learned their mistakes, and put everything into Covenant that should have been in SH1 at the expense of the dark atmosphere. Anyone notice they get progressively lighter throughout the series?
And what is up with the relationship between the main characters in the third game? He's a little kid, and she's a tall, native bombshell! Odd.

I'd like some proof, rather than just... falseness.

As hated as we've discussed, I like Covenant the most, it was just awesome.
Why was Koudleka not an option on the poll? Is it because it's expected that nobody liked it as much as the other three? While not as fun to play as the last game in the series, it's plot was still more interesting and it actually fit in with the other two.
Anyway, I enjoyed the first Shadow Hearts the most, though Covenant was almost as good. It probably would have been better in my opinion if they didn't try so hard to replace the creepy atmosphere of it's predecessor with mundane slapstick. From the New World was decent to play, but I felt that was all it had going for it. It was too off the wall. I probably would have enjoyed it more if I wasn't constantly wondering how it was associated with the games that came before it. I mean, when the giant talking cat that was buds with Al Capone joined the party, all relevance to the series namesake went right out the window.
