View Full Version : Which Allrpg Forum goer do you want to meet?

Pretty straight forward. Who from the forums would you like to meet? I know that some people have the access to do so (and the money) while the rest of us don't. Who would you like to chill out with in real life and why?

I know that I'd probably meet just about anyone from the forums myself. I'd like to meet some of the other Canadian posters just to see what those different parts of Canada that they live in are like. Cyrus, Lag, Lodis just to name a few.

Blue would be cool to hang out with for sure too. Fine upstanding guy that I think I relate to quite well in attitude as well as game taste.

Phakiel because it would be neat to see Nicaragua. That and he seems to be a wild party animal.

Bisquik, or what ever his name is now, so that I could really learn of his undying love for Ogre Battle.

Dreamless, just so we could play Guerrilla War.

There are probably others that I can't think of right now. Been a long day at work. Pretty much wouldn't mind checking out where people live and seeing what they are like vs. their forum personality.

I would like to meet some people here, but what usually happens is that when I meet someone to the Internet and then meet up with the person in regular life I just feel awkward. I don't know why, probably because I think those people belong in the Internet or something.

But overlooking that I would like to meet up with Cyrus and Phakiel.

The most realistic AllRPGers would be Cyrus, Void, Liz, or maybe even Blue. Cyrus would be a 6 or 7 hour drive. Not sure about Void or Liz, but I know they're pretty close to Ontario compared to most of you. And my friends go down to Myrtle Beach every Spring for a golf trip, so I could probably meet up with him if I had the time and cash.

I would like to meat Syrus as he has a newfound appreciate for young hotties, and loves music and marijuana.

Inari
06-24-2008, 04:27 PM
There's not that many people on the forums who I think are as outgoing in person as they are online, so meeting them would probably be awkward and weird. I've only ever met like four people IRL that I knew online, two of them are good RL friends now, one of them was forgettable, and the other one looked incredibly different from how I pictured him. Which was weird because he had a really distinct voice.

Anyway probably the only person I think would be fun IRL is Karsh. I would hang out with Lone too. We would nerd it up like nobody's business.

Phakiel

I think I wouldnt have many posters I wouldnt want to meet. Although I know Liz would bore me with her sports crap and Mai and Dreamless will end up insulting me, my dog and my grandmother at the same time after we shake hands (with quotes), I think it would be certainly interesting.

Overall the ones I would definetely like to meet include Sush, Luisfe, Fallen, Electric Banana, the Canadians because Canadians seem like a cool bunch of people, Atlas to fight to the death with, charolastra, Raidou because he is borderline demential, and probably Heru because he is this insane little dude with a lot of hair and comes with cute chicks with glasses.

I do think that the most possible acquantaince i could have from here would be Powerslave as he is from Costa Rica and thats just a border pass away and as he has visited Nicaragua and I have visited Costa Rica, it would be simple, unless he is in another country as he moves more than a fed ex plane.

Actually, it's a two day drive. Which I just did. I'm just north of Toronto, at the moment.

The list of the people I want to meet extends to most of the people who post here.

Fabs and Joe! :) Yep, Fabs and Joe.

Meeting anyone would be pretty cool actually! :) Except those of you who I just can't stand and frankly, I can't think of anyone off the top of my head.

I'm about two to three hours south of Liz, Lag :D.

I'd like to meet most of the chat goers, and most of the people who go on the forums. Particularly I'd like to meet up with Joe since I feel our friendship steps out of the internet, regaurdless of the fact that we've never met.

Void, Lag, Liz, Joe, Blue, Tenacious P, Dreamelss, and Inari are on my list too. I'm sure I'm forgetting some people, but you know who you are, so whatever.

I wouldn't mind meeting most of you...but I definitely have a group of people I'd probably like to meet more than others. Blue Eon takes the cake as of right now, if I only had the opportunity to meet one AllRPGer, and that was it, he'd be my pick. Others I'd like to meet... Evil, Void, Cyrus the Virus, Phakiel, UO_Duck, King Zeal, Kyle, Fallen Emanuel, Charolastra00, diremommy, LagDragon, and TD. That's all I can think of right now anyway... Oh wait, Baby, she seems like she's super cool. :)

I've already met Holy Dragon Sword...he's a yutz. Just kidding. :p <3

So why doesn't Lag ever drive up to Montreal, anyway? It is debauchery central for our country.

I'd like to meet most people, but I don't know who I'd get along with and who I'd just sit silently around waiting for the time to pass. After the initial awkwardness I'm sure I'd have a great time with Lag, Blue, Phakiel, Emanuel, Bananaface and a few others. It might take a few shots of tequila slipped into E's water bottle before he relaxes, though.

Polygon, Liz, E-lec-trical banaaaanaaaa (yeah Donovan), Phakiel, Polygon, and Evil.

Most realistically would probably be Phakiel if he goes to BC (or even not.. I'll probably be in Nicaragua within the next few years) and Fallen Emmanuel when I'm in London next year. We don't have anyone from Southern Mexico or Iceland, do we? Or I could meet them too.

I've already met Tenacious P. He's not as cool in real life I swear.

And wouldnt it be weird if by the time I finally go to BC you are coming here?

Powerslave
06-25-2008, 12:45 AM

Hahaha, I do move around more than a fed ex plane... and it kinda sucks. But yeah, you're by far the closest person to where I am now, so that'd be the most realistic. I kinda do wanna go up to Nicaragua sometime in the near future (Last time must've been some, oh, 14 years ago? ajshdsjkad), and I've always heard it's a real nice place (Uncle worked there for years). Not to mention we could go drinkin'.

Other than that, I spend the other half the time in Montreal, and I think Cyrus lives there, but I've never really talked to him. Actually, though, most of the Canadians here are pretty cool, which kinda holds up to real life too. Canadians are real nice people in general! Not that Americans aren't... but there's just something different about Canadians and having lived in both places you can definitely tell.

Now that I think about it, I have never really made good friends with anyone on the boards (I dunno, maybe it's the chat? I only ever went there like 4-5 times in my 7 years here ahsdasakdjah), but people who would be cool/interesting to talk to, probably Abom, Charolastra, Dreamless, Raidou, Bisek, Lag, and the disappeared 48 come to mind.

Phakiel

There could be a good chance I might move to Colorado or New York. If she gets accepted (which I know she will) by Cornell University in NY, there is a good chance I will go there with her. I could hang out with Liz and a few other people up in that region if I do that.

I'm generally not a "meet people online" kinda person. I met Rev, and that's about it. Generally, I'd rather have a big-ass barbeque with a fire pit and booze and let those who don't mesh leave on their own. Most of my conversations do not revolve around sports, actually, but if the topic comes up I am not completely inept. I forgot where I was going with this, but I love making fun of people.

I think there was a character either on Mad Tv or on SNL, this girl who was always over hyped and always wanted to do physical stuff and would always say "I'll race you to it" or stuff like that.

I'd like to meet Liz in an ice-skating ring wearing a fun little thang.

It'd be just like the movies. Except, I wouldn't get any.

Yeah, I might be really competitive but I'm definitely not going to get off my comfortable chair to race you. If anything, "I'll race you!" is a ploy to get you out of a comfortable chair so I can steal it.

I cannot buy Liz as an effective maker-the-fun-of-people.

Fire pits and barbecues are awesome, though. I love to sit and watch a fire for hours, drinking beer from a can like a husky wilderness explorer man.

This comment has me a bit confused, but I'm pretty sure I know what you're trying to convey. Haha.

You met Revolution? When was this? Must have been a while back during one of my periods of forum absense. What was the meeting like? I remember Rev for the most part, he came across as a pretty cool fellow. I only just started to get to know him before I disappeared again. Where the hell is he these days anyway? Still in Montreal?

Why do I imagine if this bonfire-type thing Liz has described ever happens, Atlas would be running around with Liz's panties on his head?

Rev's a genuinely good guy and his offline personality is every bit the same as online. I couldn't sing his praises enough. I was in Fairfield, CT which is a short distance from NYC, where our good ol' Rev hails from. We hung out for most of the day, driving around and he took me a a NYC arcade and immediately said "You know, around here you really shouldn't display your money so easily", as I whipped out 20's to play games. I quickly put it away, and he showed me how he could pulverize 50 men in 30 seconds in a boxing game (I could maybe take care of 10.)

Anyways, we went to see Underworld: Evolution in an IMAX theater and itwas my first experienc in a "ghetto" NYC theater (he offered to pay for me, like a true gentleman, but he'd already been so generous with other expenses that I insisted I take care of this one.) Still, I enjoyed it. EVen for disappointing franchises such as Underworld, the IMAX experience is enough to entertain a simpleton such as myself. He took me home and was kind enough to buy me shitloads of SoBe just because he knew I liked them. I really cannot begin to explain how great of a guy he is - someone who relaly does care for his friends, online and off.

Lag and KC were jealous.I know you were. ;)

Sol and I would talk a lot and he's a genuinely misunderstood guy. He's incredibly interesting and talented, but has been hampered by a less than ideal upbringing.

Speaking of, he should be getting home from Iraq soon.

To further the Rev nostalgia, he is the man who summed me up as "Calvin after someone told him Hobbes didn't exist" or something to that regard. He and I also used to discuss conspiracy theories having to do with the Peanuts comic strip. Overall, he's probably the best member this forum has ever had and it's a shame that he doesn't come around any more, especially since he and I "fell out" a bit when I went through my massive asshole stage (first one to make the joke gets a rep-up).

I really would get along with the vast majority of you guys very well; I'm not truly just an asshole, but more malevolently-playful, it's just that the playful side hasn't really been showing up on the internet recently. Overall, I'm **** loads more obnoxious and goofy in real life. I'm also generally the first one to start some sort of prank or stunt that I shouldn't be doing, which is why I'd pair perfectly with Lag (me thinks he would help instigate).

I know you're just playful, and I think you're a great guy(despite douche-baggery), too. You and I would have some fun times probably if alcohol were invited; but I'm not grabbing that massive asshole bait just because I know it'd bite me in the ass. My deliveries aren't always the best.

The way I picture Dreamless is the kinda guy who walks around a neighborhood and like makes old ladies fall, steals fom disabled children and probably sells dead birds to them as well, spits on homeless people and then goes to the library to learn quotes.

One of the biggest ironies of internet vs. real life is that while Scott and I get along pretty well online, I am fairly certain that literally hanging out with him would result in a heart attack or a stroke for me. I am really high strung and meticulously plan things out. I'm not completely incapable of flying by the seat of my pants (I actually perform really well under those circumstances) but boy, does it ever do a number on my nerves afterwards.

The closest I came to meeting an AllRPGer was talking to Rev on the phone. It didn't last long as I began being my sometimes uptight self and thought it was inappropriate to be talking to an "internet" guy without Ben knowing. Too bad it took me this long to get over myself, we might've been real buds.

Karsh once asked to crash at my house so he could take some classes in Nashville. If you read the above paragraph, you can guess what my response was. "Ben, this is Karsh, I met him online and he'll be staying with us for a few weeks!"

yeah I guess you could say online and offline persona's for me is a bit different. im normally pretty chill and I am actually very polite and courteous to everyone. I help anyone who needs it and I always give the benefit of the doubt. but I do love to drink. oh and Liz yes to Bonfires! wooo! I miss those more then anything. hence why everytime I go home there is atleast one while I am there at my parents house.

Ahhh, yes. It has been at least a good year and a half since I have been to one. They are always fun except for the fact that I cannot get rid of that smokey smell. Oh, well. Always a blast. Especially when you dare people to walk through it for five dollars. ;)

or when you decide that sense your drunk you can walk through it and not get hurt or burned...like I tend to when I get really hammered...when I was home last I figured it was a good idea to just walk over the tree stump in the fire and I ended up bustin' my ass in the fire. luckily sense I am immune to fire when im drunk I came out with a small scratch from the branch that ripped a small hole in my favorite element shirt. :(
