So as some of you know, Avatar: The Last Airbender was released in theaters last week. While I did not go see it thanks to warnings from my brothers, the general consensus is that the movie was pure trash. The local newspaper highlighted the article as M. Night's Epic Fail.

It seemed to follow the same reasons the Game to Live-action movies don't turn out right. People just don't want to see something they treasure ruined by Hollywood. Remember Streetfighter anyone?

I was just reading an article about this same subject and it brought to mind some other movies: Transformers, G.I. Joe, Speed Racer, Garfield, The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, Fat Albert, Josie and The Pussy Cats, TMNT, and a few others. Some of these were ok, and others...lets just say they'll be most likely nominated for worst movies of all time somewhere down the line.

Discuss how you feel about this topic, and maybe suggest some cartoons you wouldn't mind seeing in live-action. Maybe suggest a certain cast lineup.

Go!

As opposed to all of his other epic fails...

He's becoming as credible as Uwe Boll.

How come people didn't go see The Last Airbender? I saw some ***gy campaign on facebook to ditch it because some inuit and indian characters were played by white people (nevermind that inuit and indian people don't exist in that show (semantics, I know)), but the trailer didn't make it look bad. Did everyone see an early negative review and decide not to see it?

I was thinking the same thing, the trailer looked pretty cool and all, I wont be going to the theater for it but the show was successful enough to warrant the movie which immediately warrants a bunch of kids going to see it, and it didnt look as bad as to being unwatchable or worse than the Happening (now that I didnt see because I found about the "twist" in a review and just thought it was way too goddamn stupid), so what the fuck is up?

The real irony is that even as this film is setting an all time low for Shyamalan, Uwe Boll has put out Rampage. A movie which is getting surprisingly good reviews and may well be Boll's first decent film. Who would have thunk it?

The only good film he produced was The Sixth Sense. I had to look it up to be sure. It was hardly believable when you know this is the same person that made The Happening...

Yeah, fans are always saying how good Unbreakable was but always thought that movie sucked balls. It was all like 83 percent of Bruce Willis looking morose in front of the camera. He should have been ripping ass not thinking about the dark side of things.
