So to those of you who wear makeup on the board, what kind do you prefer over others? Don't wear it -- why not?

What do you usually like to wear, etc? I'm thinking about experimenting more with other brands only because I'm a prude and only stick to one brand.

I have a ton of different brands, so I don't follow one brand in particular. However, I don't really wear make up all that often. Probably less frequently than once a week at the moment. I have so many skin conditions I don't like to bother with adding another element into the mix. But I pretty much swear by Neutrogena's cover up and MAC's mascara- which are two things I use most often.

MAC cosmetics. That's pretty much it. I don't wear it too much anymore.

I generally strongly dislike makeup on anyone. If I can see it, you have too much on. And not to be a prude, but if you're a guy and wear makeup and you're not an actor/musician, I'm probably going to judge you. Sorry.

I have different brands, although I only use Covergirl Exact Eyelights Black Sapphire (always waterproof) mascara and Rimmel Exaggerate Black (always waterproof) eyeliner.
I don't use foundation or blush cause that shit is disgusting.
Sometimes I'll wear some eyeshadow. But mostly it's mascara and eyeliner and lipgloss. I carry lipgloss everywhere, cause my lips always get dry as hell.
I prefer the natural look on anyone. For instance looking at Christina Aguilera disgusts me.

Did we have one of these not too long ago? I've never really worn makeup but I'm open to it. I like the smell of it. I don't have a lot of female friends who wear makeup but I tend to dislike seeing girls that go all out. It's really not pretty.

I guess I'm odd in the sense that I love more makeup on a female; I like everything to be exaggerated. To me natural beauty is overrated.

I'm not an actor and I don't work enough in the biz to be considered a musician. If you're gonna judge me, have fun doing so. I'll still be here not caring.

Pretty much what I was thinking. What is this, the 1950's?

It's just my preference, and I know it's not fair to judge people based on their appearance, but I can't help it. It's like when I see someone wearing crocs or a "God Bless America" tshirt. But I would never flat say anything, of course.

I'm relatively certain judging someone and then not even having the balls to say something about it is pretty much the earmark of a coward...

Just puttin' that out there.

If you're going to have convictions, at least stand by them and be ready to defend them.

I don't know where you get that from. I'm not going to say what's on my mind all the time. That shit's too trivial to make a fuss over in the first place. I'm not about to be the asshole who picks a fight whenever possible.

Gah, kiss and make up already...lipstick optional...

Any time I see a girl with nice lips and that clear shiny lip gloss stuff, I get an erection powerful enough to rule the world or tear it apart.

So I guess I have an interest in makeup, in a sense.

If I have to be picture ready, I might use some makeup to cover it up.

One time, I had a really bad date that I just wanted to forget about, but couldn't because he left a hickey on my neck. Thats right, just a few months ago, I got my first hickey, and I hated it. So, I had used make up to cover it up and flirted with a bunch of other guys instead.

I think guys are held to a different standard as far as beauty goes. I don't NEED to cover up a zit, I can walk around with it and no one would say boo. (Though admittedly, I barely get zits or pimples, and when I do its pretty small.)

As far as brands go I can't really tell you. I use make up so infrequently that I don't have my own, I borrow a little from a girl friend. My sisters I believe swear by bare essentials I think.

Oh my god, we should totally make a thread about how disgusting crocs are. And capris, and those really low V-necks.

I guess I was just blessed with clear, unblemished skin. Really all I use is face wash/exfoliator every morning. And maybe some vaseline if I'm in a dry country.

In photoshoots or shows they never put too much on me, I guess they use a little foundation so that they actually have to use the make-up artists they pay for.

The only good thing about crocs is that I once read that they had made so many of them that they were operating at a loss and had a bunch of them in stock because people were not buying them, either the idiots already had crocs, the idiots finally got some sense broken into them and decided not to buy crocs or the rest of the people, liek you should, just never wanted them.

When I was having issues finding comfortable shoes for my brother's wedding after breaking my ankle (epic swelling still going on, and the wedding was 4 months and 9 days after I broke it)...some asshole suggested I buy some silver crocs... I was like "Why? If I could even fathom wearing them, I would wear them ONCE and then never again." They shut up...
I ended up wearing slippers. :/ Way too much swelling to wear dress shoes...and I still have problems wearing dress shoes, and it's almost been a year since I broke my ankle!

As for Capris- I don't have a major issue with capris, I only have one pair though... And I wear them only because I hate wearing shorts because my legs are too pasty white. hehe We're talking...my friend Jack in high school gave me shit once because my legs were BLINDING HIM as he drove us to the movies. lol

Haha I'm vain enough to always wanna look my best. While I have a naturally pretty face, I feel I look my best when I wear makeup that brings out my best features. As far as brands go, I'm far too practical minded to pay much attention. I go for what looks pretty, and is a cheap as possible without being worthless. I like blue-grey eyeshadow; it compliments my eyes well. I have this topazy color too that I'm warming up to.

I also MUST wear mascara, as I have amazingly gorgeous naturally long eyelashes, WHICH YOU CAN'T SEE BECAUSE THEY ARE FUCKING BLONDE!!!!. So, mascara brings them out.

I absolutely adore men who look good in makeup. It's not for all men of course though. Haha the guy I'm dating right now would look ridiculous in it. He's more the teddy bear/ Totoro type ^_^ And those types rarely look good in make up.
