Above is a video of the TGS reveal. Not much, at all, in the way of concrete info Just a retrospec vid of the PSO/PSU series and then a in 2011, PSO 2! with an on Windows PC qualifier.
I am both pumped and a little irked if it's going to be PC exclusive. I'll be getting it, though, regardless of which system it's on. PSU left a funny taste in the mouth since it changed too much from the PSO formula, so a return to form would be great. Can't wait for more info.

Don't lie Ges, you just want to recruit Col. Sanders into your party. I know it....
It could be good. I've read that the DS Phantasy Star 0 was supposedly good and same went for the first PSP title. I might be willing to check this out if I can find one copy for reasonable price.
Edit: Just watched that video and it makes me wonder why they are making this for PC only. Not only that they are touting about how it's the 10th anniversary since the first game, why can't they worry about the fact that they haven't made a "proper" PS game in a much much longer time then that. What has it been since PS IV, 16 years?

Man I had no idea they made so many PSO games.
Anyway this really surprises me. After PSU I thought they had given up. I hoped they had given up. That game sucked.
I loved the original. I even played it for a while about 4 years ago on PC with the use of an unofficial server. I wonder if its still up... But yeah that game was great. It was simple but highly addictive. Just classic.
Then PSU comes along and takes a huge dump all over my fond memories of the series. I never looked into the handheld games so I have no idea if they are good. If they are maybe Sega can actually recapture the magic of the first game. Im not gonna get my hopes up though. My faith in Sega has dwindled considerably after the fall of the DC. Virtua Fighter is the only series they still have thats maintained its AAA status.
I wish they would just port the original to XBLA with no subscription fees. That would be epic.

Phantasy Star 0 was a lot like the original but with worse graphics and limited hotkeys.
And yet I still played the crap out of it :)
