So how was everyone's Valentine's Day? What did you get or did you go out to dinner? Did you not celebrate it, do you not like the holiday? Its pretty quiet in here so I figured I would make a post and see what everyone did. :D

I tried to clean my house, ended up hating bleach and masturbated to british porn.

Yeah, I've had horrible past experiences with bleach.
And I didn't do much for V Day, to be honest. I hung out with my family and some friends and talked to my boyfriend over the phone and sent gifts via mail. I'm a simple kind of person and try to give a person my all - not just on one day.
me my girl and her parents went to a high class restaurant on top of a grand hotel that rotates right on the beach (its her parents anniversary, I wanted it to just be the two of us being it was our first v-day together...but whatever). but it was nice had a nice medium-rare steak with blue cheese crumbles with some blacken shrimp. watched the sun set on the beach, ect. I wont go there again for holidays though. service was way too damn slow for a place that cost me 150 bones. sure its better service though when its not so busy. or with someone else thats not a n00b waiter. :/
but it was a nice day other then that. looked at a few houses to buy, with the lover, then went to chilies exchanged gifs there because I knew her parents was going out to dinner with us. she got me a white gold ring, that is getting engraved later, and I got her a pair of earrings and a neck charm with 1/8 tw carat diamonds and black sapphire center pieces. they matched her dresses she just bought so I figured it was perfect. I had a pretty good time. :)

Hmm, I thought service at such restaurants was designed to be slow, or at least not as fast as, well, fast food. Because you're shelling out the cash for such high quality meals and, most likely, prior dishes, the point is to savor what you're eating and take in some good dinner conversation.
Anyway, I had a lot of work to do and tried avoiding the people who were bitching about Valentine's Day. Hey, if you hate it so much, quit bringing it up.

To be fair, and even though the aura in the office is horribly unberable since its filled with married women and this stupid chick who I would pay to have someone drive a car through her skull, yesterday wasnt that bad.
Actually didnt even clicked it was V day until i got some messages from friends wishing me a happy V day. Also this dude bought a fuck lot of candy and man do I love candy.

I came home to flowers sent to me by my good friend Chris. Actually, I wasn't even expecting them...my Dad walked into the house with this box of flowers and I assumed that he got them for my Mom! He walked in and set it down in front of me and I said "What the heck!?" hahaha I have a feeling that will be my natural reaction every time I get flowers. :p It was a sweet gesture. If he didn't live so far away (4 hours) we probably would be dating by now. Lamesauce.
I also wore this shirt that I made:

I stayed home, watched Jeopardy, and got sick. That's what you're supposed to do on Valentine's, right?

My girl and I went to a Japanese Restaurant called Hanabi, where they cook the food in front of you. Actually have a video of it on my facebook ( http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/video/video.php?v=10150098477714020 ).
The previous night we exchanged cards, and gave each other money. Which we turned around and spent to eat. I also gave her a King sized kit kat bar, since she didn't want a box of chocolates, haha.

You know, its funny, I am normally very single or not just overtly going out with somebody during and around Valentine's day, for some reason my relationships are never active in any way or form by the date, for some reason whatsoever.
But every year, at least in my adult life, I there is always at least one girl that begins to text or call me just like a week or two before Valentine's day to schedule something, a dinner or this year just to text about crap, and a friend's wedding this saturday. I went out with this girl starting around July and August and lost contact by november as for some reason all my relationships also just dissolve come december. Its like a curse.
As Valentine's day is such an uneventful day for me, it never clicks why out of the blue the subject of every years begins contacting me, and its probably desperation. So I just dont pay much mind and actually never schedule a valentine's date because I just dont give a fuck. But after Vday it comes suddenly "Holy shit, she was calling me to get a date on Valentine's day", also coming when I realize her contact attempts have ceased.
I dont know why it never clicks, I could get a nice date out of the desperation, maybe even get laid, and it has happened to me at least 3 or 4 times but for some reason I never remember.

Dinner is definitely served/prepared slowly at a high-end restaurant depending on where you are in town/the atmosphere of the place. You get drinks in between courses and chat.

well I know it takes longer...however we were waiting almost 3 hours to get our main course...everyone else around us was getting everything way before us. it was our waiter not putting in orders, and screwing up a lot.

So you won't go again during the holidays since the waiter was new despite really liking the food and him being a human being?
...I've worked in a lot of restaurants.
