I used to love this kind of thing. I remember the first time I found out you could get onto the roof in Mario 64... cool stuff. I tried to get up using wall-kicks and shit for like 2 hours because apparently you can?

I remember those were the days before the internet as it is now and there was this show on tv I dont remember the name, it was a mexican show with this dude with a weird hair who always wore a hat and this annoying prick of a kid, maybe Luisfe remembers the show.

Anyway, they showed the video of somebody reaching Yoshi with the three powered jump and wall kick on the little mountain and as much as I tried I could never get it, I was like always falling from the little mountain thingy, it had to be in a precise spot for the glitch to work i guess.

Do you mean Sheng Long, Phak? Yeah, I remember EGM started that up as an April Fool' day joke. I never personally tried it but it seemed neat. I do remember seeing a friend unlock Akuma in Super Street Fighter II Turbo and that seemed amazing at the time.


Blue did you start this up because you had bad memories of trying to accomplish some terrible April Fool's Day joke that didn't really exist? :)

You know these days although we get april fools jokes all over the place it is not as fun. A quick google search can dispel any rumours. Its a stupid thing but it was cute to not know it was an april fools months or even years after the joke.

That you could unlock Shang Tsung as a playable character in the original Mortal Kombat.

During the last level of Sonic 3 (Reg, not & Knuckles) you could somehow drive around in Robotnik's hovercraft thing after you beat his cannon shooting machine and hop in it.

Anyone have a link for some of the most famous ones?

I remember hearing about playing as Master Hand in SSBM. Turned out, surprisingly, you COULD do it... takes a loooong time to get it to work, though. My friends and I tried for an hour and a half to get it to work once.

I got it when I played blue. Someone told me about the Abra trick.

I thought you could save Aeris, I don't know why the fuck I wanted to, I thought she sucked in battle. So I used her in my party and did everything to her favour and whatnot, only made it harder on myself.

I don't know if this is real, but wasn't there a thing about getting to play as Lara Croft naked if you bead Tomb Raider a few times or whatever?

I was just watching the Mew trick on Gametrailers, apparently you use fly with a pokemon.. Does Abra's teleport also work? I don't know that one.

Yes. More specifically the glitch using teleport in Cerulean City and Nugget Bridge.
