Final Fantasy Versus XIII

Stupid title and dumbass haircuts aside, my interest in this ... other part of the the so-called Fabula Nova Crystallis compilation has been piqued by this trailer (http://www.gametrailers.com/video/japanese-gameplay-final-fantasy/709809). At around the three minute mark, it actually shows some gameplay footage. Any thoughts on the this noticeably darker companion piece to Final Fantasy XIII? I'm surprised there's no thread here about it already.

I wish I hadn't seen this because now I'm interested in it. It definitely looks inspired (to me) by Kingdom Hearts' combat. It reminds me of that fight versus Sephiroth in KH2, somehow.

It'll be worth watching. I'm still not totally optimistic, but it's hard to overlook how slick the game appears.

Game's been in development since 2006. Square's sure taking their sweet time with it.
