Ever since I joined the military I've started drinking more. Tech school is very stressful academically and physically, so alcohol is a much needed relaxation. I feel I've capped out. My drinking isn't increasing, just balancing out. Gin here, Foster's there. I usually switch between the two. My wife likes froo froo drinks.
How often do you drink? Try to quantify.

Pretty much any night I don't have to be up that early soooo....Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday.
2-3 times a week.
Tanqueray Rangpur gin + Sun Drop (regional soda - think Mtn Dew but better) is my current foil.

Maybe 2-3 drinks a year, and not usually on the same day. Yeah, I wasn't much of a drinker before, but after I tended bar in a dive I became even LESS interested in getting drunk...
I took a sip of a White Russian on July 4th...

Precisely. Minus the Sun Drop and add gingerale. Mmm. Rangpur is holy.

Probably a few times a month. I went on a few drink-a-thons this summer and I haven't been to eager to drink lately.

Not often. There's no bar in town and I don't drink if I'm driving. Once every few months I might pick up a bottle of something like brandy. I don't care for beer and rarely have the urge to drink wine.

I often have a pint or two after work (they're half price). Otherwise I haven't been out drinking a lot these last two months.
That'll change, I'm sure, since school starts on Tuesday and I'll likely make some new friends and meet up with the old ones.

Sun Drop is everywhere. I'm pretty sure its not regional, but seasonal.
Like Liz I drink whenever I have the opportunity at night. I prefer beer like Yuengling, Wiehenstephan, Blanche De Bruxelle. Wheat beers are my preference if I'm eating, but if I'm just drankin its gotta be a yuengling.

Like I said, I'm a Foster's kinda guy. But Saporo is also tasty.

We need to expand your beer horizons, Atlas.
I'm a big fan of craft brews and the like. There are tons of microbreweries in upstate as well, and Wegmans stocks most of their shit. Middle Ages, Troegg's. On Fridays I usually go out of my way to do Wegmans' Craft-Your-Own-Pack. Gosh, I cannot wait for the Christmas beers. Mad Elf Ale, here I come!

Ever heard of Bj's Brewery? Wonderful Hef and many good stouts. I'll look into those ones you mentioned.
Speaking of beer, time for some late-nite Dexter.

I drink pretty rarely, and when I do I generally make it hard liquor. Whiskey, vodka, rum; whatever's around. Don't really drink beer anymore even though I did finally acquire the taste for it. Not a fan of bars. I can't even remember the last time I got drunk. Last November maybe.

Next time you're in the Lehigh Valley (Never.) there is a really great bar in PA that has a really extensive beer list that you'd probably get a real kick out of Liz.
Do you go as far as to drink IPAs, in particular does a Raging Bitch make or break your night?
Personally, not a fan of the IPA too much, just can't get that into them as compared to a Stout, Ale, or even weird ones like beers made with brewers licorice. However, I've had an opportunity to get pretty drunk of a Nova Scotian Pale Ale and that was really pretty exciting and delicious.
If given the chance, some of you may even remember this from Serges 2 year long Avatar with it, La Find Du Monde is a really fantastic beer with an inspiring 9.6 alcohol content. Comes in a fancy glass and has to be poured in a certain kinda pretentious way so that it tastes better but the attention to detail is impressive. It has a wheat flavor and a nice deep orange/peach color to it. The brewing spices taste really warm and almost cinnaminny in a way. I always find myself astounded by the body of it though. A 9
.6% alcohol beer you'd expect to have a bit of bite or a certain effervescence to it however, due to the choice in spices the alcoholic burn that should be there actually becomes a flavoring to the spices in the beer. Its really pretty fucking awesome. Might go get one tonight because of this.

I can't stand IPAs. In part, this is because of a night of poor decision-making in college that completely threw me off them. But, even before then they were never my thing. Far too hoppy. I'll drink other pale ales, though.

In general, I much prefer darker ales. At my apartment, there's almost always a Russian Imperial Stout -- usually Middle Ages or Peg Leg. Lately I've been on a Lager kick. I'll buy Spraten (I knoooow) and maybe supplement it with something a mite thicker, like Boddington's pub ale.

I've had La Fin Du Monde (actually, I saw it in Wegmans and bought it because of Serge. I've also had whats-its-faces brewing company's Nightmare. Also very good. Tasted like a mix of fruits, from what I recall.

Seasonal IPAs are, in fact, tits.
Lately my wife has got me into wine of the chardonnay variety. Very dry stuff but I enjoy it over the more lively flavors. I'm not particularly picky over the brands yet due to my lack of experience and education on the matter.

I rarely drink wine, but I grabbed Cabernet tonight. It's okay. Prefer it with food than to just drink and will likely stick to beer from now on.

Funny story. I had just gotten from me doctor's sanctioned meal plan to combat my high blood pressure, so I was on a "diet" and I use " because I went to have dinner with friends and ordered buffalo wings.
So they had this promo at the bar and it was two for one of loads of drinks, they had mojitos and other type of shit. I was cutting down on rum and I still couldnt stomach wiskey that well, and fuck vodka, so my friend and I decided to get some wine, I think it was cabernet sauvignon, she ordered it so i forgot.
We also were holding back on our drinking because it was just a saturday dinner with another friend who was pregnant at the time.
Long story short, we probably drank like two bottles of wine each, then we went to a dive bar at around 2 am with another friend who had gotten out of a bad date. We remained drinking until 7 am at my apartment then I passed out. I woke up at 11am with my friend lying next to me on my bed. Thankfully our clothes were on.
Apothegm: Wine is truly the devil's drink.
