Like the title suggests, this may have been brought up before, but I loved that game. It suffered from the fact that it was released at the same time as FFVII(which I love as well). But it was agreat game with a great storyline. I guess what I am trying to say, is when are all the gamers going to bombard SCEA with a request for a PS2 or PS3 follow-up?

I don't know if there'll ever be a sequel, but I thought this game was AWESOME. I'm a huge fan of PS1 RPG's, and this one was way up there. Good taste, my friend.

I really liked this one too. I don't run across many people that liked this game.

I know sometimes it is best to leave a great game/movie/book without a sequel but dam* would I love to play the sequel to LOD

Maybe a prequel, about Rose and the others? (sorry, it's been awhile, forget the names)

I did think the battle system was pretty neat, though the combos got a bit tedious towards the end. Especially when you put in all your sucko characters just to max their combos. Who was the annoying tooth fairy with the giant mallet?

It has been awhile for me also, the prequel sounds good. I just remember loving the storyline, more than anything. That is one of my main draws to an RPG is the story. Well, folks, bedtime here in my part of the world, later.

I didn't mind it. I remember liking it quite a bit, most of the time. I should purchase and play through it again, before I make my mind up about a sequel.

Played a little bit of it but I never got too far in to it. I have it sitting around here some place. I may start it up again one of these days.

Never played it. Always wanted to.

I thought it was a great game. I wonder how a sequel would do?

I really should finish it one day. It was my friend's game and I think we got through the first disc, but lost the game after that. Never did get another chance to play it... :\

Awesome game though. Loved the storyline (at least I did at the time, it's been a pretty damn long time).

If they did do a sequel, it should probably not be a 'Legend of Dragoon 2', but somewhat of a re-envisioning. Hm.

****ing yes!

Someone who shares my resolve. I've been wanting this game since I read in an old magazine, can't remember which one, but it ended up being I think the number 2-3 game of that year, and there was a rumor of a sequel in the making, and I've heard no news since.

I loved the combat of this game, the music, the characters, the story, and other small things like the arrow that let you know you were about to be attacked, whatever happened to that idea?! Final Fantasy games could really do with that.

And you mean Meru, Data. Her additions were shithard to master at first but they just got easier as you practice. She ended up being on my final party along with Rose, since they both have attacks that can heal, and that's always good.

This is and always will be one of my favorite rpgs of all time, the only one besides Tales of Symphonia and Chrono Trigger that I played through more than once.

That is another game, that Squenix should have a look at, for the PS2 or PS3. A Chrono game, but I digress;)

Oh yes, Bama, we all have a hopeful hard-on for a potential new Chrono game.

I own this game but have never played it. Supposedly it's a bit of a polarizing game among some. Maybe that's why I never got around to it.

Really? Legend of Dragoon? Really?

Yes, JoJo, I saw LoD listed as your worst game ever. I disagree but then maybe some of your favs would make me "rectally" bleed:)

Yeah, we love that rectal action 'round these parts. Wait, what?

These are my favorites. Can't find much fault with these.

Suikoden II
Xenogears
Final Fantasy Tactics

And LoD made my eyes bleed, not my anus.

**** me, this game is atrocious. It starts off decently and then takes the quickest route to shitsville right quick. (bear with me here, kind of(very) tipsy)

Quick list:
-The Addition system, though interesting, quickly becomes tedious by end-game, causing random battles to take upwards of 5 minutes. Moreover, the Dragoons become worthless once the final additions are gained.
-More Addition system hating: it is meant to be an ancillary aspect of the combat, ala holding the R Trigger in Lost Odyssey, which means that you can get along without it. Yet, if you fail to pull off the Addition in LoD, it's a lost turn, and your damage is pitiful without them.
-With one exception, the characters are shit. The red dude (forgot his character) is the most blatant rip-off of Cloud in existence, the lead character girl (the Moonchild) is the most helpless bitch I've ever come across in video game history (seriously, how much of the ****ing game was spent trying to rescue her sorry ass?), Meru was BEYOND annoying. Only Rose, who is ****ing phenomenal, holds her own.
-The names... good God the names!!! "Black Monster!" "Moon Child!" "Winglies!" Who the **** wrote this thing???
-Longest... spell animations... ever.
-They pulled the ol' "We're going to kill a character, but don't worry! We'll replace them with an exact clone so you won't miss a beat!"

I... I hate this game so very, very much.

DS, now tell us how you really feel:)

JoJo, I agree with Suikoden II(the rest of the Suikoden series isn't shabby), I liked Xenogears but it is the only game to date that made me throw my controller. There is one part of the game where you have to time your jumps perfectly to scale a mountain. After falling back down for like the 99th time, I got to the last jump, barely missed and fell all the way back down, chuck controller. Went and had a break for about 10 minutes, came back and got it on the first try, heh. Never played FF Tactics(one of the few FF titles, I never played) although it has come much recommended, can't find a copy now.

The game is basically a really bad FF7 ripoff. The bad guy might as well be Sephiroth while we're at it.

One of the best rpg's I have ever played. Great story some cool charcters though the combo system was a little tiring towards the end. I just hope SCEA makes a sequal/prequal themselves and not let any rinky dink publisher handle the game. (WILD ARMS is a prime example)

Dart. Dart was the Cloud-wannabe.

Oh, and btw...Shirley Fennes from Tales of the Legendia has replaced Shana on my list of useless bitches. Compared to Shirley, I love Shanna.

They pulled the ol' "We're going to kill a character, but don't worry! We'll replace them with an exact clone so you won't miss a beat!"

Twice! (Lavitz/Albert & Shana/Miranda)

We...We understand each other, man. *hugs*

Who the heck names these RPG guys anyway? Some of the names they come up with are beyond silly.

Cyrus the virus

Stupid, stupid people.

I miss names like Kefka, Cyan, Sabin and whatnot. Those are at least imaginative while not being too silly. Even Balthier and Basch are good names. Tidus is not. Squall and Cloud are not.

Actually, now that I think of it, names are really hit or miss with me. I tend to not use characters whose names I don't like, too (hi Suikoden).
