I'm kind of going out on a limb here since I'm pretty sure we have very very few members who have played a Monster Hunter title. However, with Nintendo's recent announcement that the 3DS will be receiving Capcom's love in the form of not only Monster Hunter Tri-G but also Monster Hunter 4, I figured it was worth bringing up. Even if you've never played the series, feel free to chime in.
With the recent 3DS price drop due to poor sales and Nintendo employee salary cuts, Nintendo seemed like it was in a pretty bad place for a while there. With the announcement of two full Monster Hunter titles for the system though, things could very easily turn back around for Nintendo. Let's keep in mind that the PSP's support from fans is based significantly on the Monster Hunter franchise, at least in Japan. Monster Hunter Tri is also one of the most popular games on the Wii.
What do you think about all of this Monster Hunter love for the 3DS? Do you think it will be enough to save the 3DS in the West and/or the East? If you've never tried a Monster Hunter game, is there something that they could do in Monster Hunter 4 that you think would sell you on it?
