Well...the Giant Squid is no longer valid since they actually found a few, including one dead. Thing was enormous.

My favourite of those is the Chupacabra. I remember when everyone here was talking about the "Chupacabra". It was funny. Other favourites would be the Jackalope, the Humanzee, and of course, the Loch Ness Monster.

ASIDHPSDOAIS.

None of them actually exist, though.

I used to be obsessed with the Loch Ness Monster. I did a report on it in elementary school.

I have always found cryptozoology very interesting and fun at times. I am not serious in the subject in any way, but I do find myself digging in to all of the myths that surround it all some times. I personally have not seen anything mysterious or out of the ordinary, but I know living in an area surrounded by tons of forest, I am sure to find something out there. There are animals, insects, etc. that are still being 'discovered' or 're-discovered' today even though native tribes of that habitat and land had known about them forever.

The last new find I thought was pretty neat (a little old, I know) is the Clouded Leopard on Borneo and Sumatra. Beautiful animal, however, the chances of it surviving are extremely low. Here is a picture if it loads:

The latest craze on this topic over here in Malaysia, is about the sighting of mysterious "Bigfoot" footprint in Sarawak state early last month. It was reported that each footprint measures 47 inches from heel to toe and 17 inches sideways -- clearly too gigantic for any normal human being. Local medicine man (known as bomoh) were asked to investigate and later the locals together with the bomoh did some sort of offerings.

Do I believe all this crapstatic? Maybe. Nah. Is most likely man-made eh.

That footprint is a blatant joke. Something that big would be extremely heavy. The foot should go a little bit deeper than that.

The Lockness monster isn't real. Most so called evidence on the matter has been debunked. Granted, Lockness is deep, but there is no where enough food to sustain even one of those things. Some people believe that it's a Plesiosaurus that entered before it was a lock and became trapped. The idea is absurd. Another one that I think is hilarious is the monster from Jeepers Creepers. It is based loosely on some folk lore about a being that has two legs and can fly. I remember reading about it when I was younger. As for Bigfoot, the most interesting theory I've heard is that he's Cain from the bible. After all, God cursed him to walk the Earth until the second coming as a beast for killing his brother. Thus, he's Bigfoot. If there is any truth to that then I would bet he's the Abdominal Snowman as well.

Speaking as a National Scotsman, first of all...it's Loch Ness...

Second of all, the Lochs, many of them, have many underwater tunnels to other water masses.

From Wikipedia:
It is connected at the southern end by the River Oich and a section of the Caledonian Canal to Loch Oich. At the northern end there is the Bona Narrows which opens out into Loch Dochfour, which feeds the River Ness and a further section of canal to Inverness. It is one of a series of interconnected, murky bodies of water in Scotland; its water visibility is exceptionally low due to a high peat content in the surrounding soil.

Loch Ness is the second largest Scottish loch by surface area at 56.4 km? (21.8 sq mi) after Loch Lomond, but due to its great depth is the largest by volume. Its deepest point is 230 m (754 feet) ,[1] deeper than the height of London's BT Tower at 189 m (620 feet) and deeper than any other loch besides Loch Morar. It contains more fresh water than all lakes in England and Wales combined [2], and is the largest body of water on the Great Glen Fault, which runs from Inverness in the north to Fort William in the south.

For the Record, I'm not saying that the Loch Ness Monster is real....however, similar stories around the world, Ranging from African Tribes to American Soil, depict a strikingly similar creature.

Who knows? I'll have more to say on Cryptozoology in a bit, but, I have to run my son to his mother's so....more later.

Thanks for the correction. I had a gut feeling I was wrong. I know about the tunnels. The Lock is a very interesting area, be it true or false.

The heck?

Anyways, I think it's foolish to dismiss things of this nature. We really don't know everything, so who's to say these things don't exist?

You should read Joseph Campbell's Primitive Mythology book. You will find fun stuffs about fire in that. ;)
