Perhaps you have heard of this and perhaps you haven't. Basically the Korean government has installed a law that is meant to prevent children under the age of 16 from playing PC or console games online past 12 AM until 6 AM (I've seen some different statistics concerning differing hours depending on the console or game apparently). Some where close to 50 PC games are banned during that time and console makers such as Sony and Microsoft have agreed to follow the law as well.

What are your thoughts on such a ban and do you feel that it's acceptable to install this sort of law. Would you want to see this happen in your country?

Sucks for people who work the day shift.

Sometimes I forget that South Korea can be pretty silly. I can't imagine that it was such a rampant problem that it needed a law to take care of it. Just seems a little much to me.

Doesn't Korea have some massive problem with people like, going completely tits over ass for video games?

As far as I understand it, games are ingrained into their culture but not to a ridiculously unhealthy extent. Every now and then, though, we get news of a South Korean person doing something extreme that soils their image :/

Except in the case of Starcraft. Tits over ass indeed.

I like it, that means I won't have to deal with any snot nosed brats on xbl when I play multiplayer games. I'd love to see such a law over here in the us.
