This thread is for discussion of arcade games that you no longer can find around your neighbourhood or at anywhere else that you used to frequent to play them.

Most arcade businesses are still to be found in some older shopping complexes around here in KL. However, I can't seem to find the following titles which I really enjoyed playing in the past.

1. Shump: UN Squadron/ Area 88 -- I really love the weapon Big Boy and Napalm, cool!

2. Fighting: SFII Original -- I really enjoyed doing all those glitches that comes with Guile.

3. Action: Final Fight -- I miss the stupid smacking on the punch button left left twice than right once than repeat again and again with Cody on the enemy until they die.

4. Puzzle: Snow Bros 1 - Is really fun to be killing all the enemies using one snowball to make those yens appear and competing to get the highest scores.

5. Sports: WWF tag team/ royal rumble -- Able to play as Big Boss Man, Ultimate Warrior and Hulk Hogan with my friends is a fond memory.

Those were the days...

Now, you turn.

Gee... how could I miss out MK in the first place. Able to do the uppercut and all those screaming effects and blood during fatality are all priceless experience for a true fighter gamer. Scorpion too!

COME OVER HERE!!!! -------------------------------> Atlas

Fighting - SF2 Original and the hack version ( where you can throw hadoukens in the air >=p )

Action 2d Sidescroller - The Simpsons, TMNT. X-men

Shooters - House of the Dead . Time Crisis

I mean alot of these are ported to consoles but it'll never feel as great as putting in 4 quarters for 3 lousy lives. It was a great experience ;p. My eyes are set in one arcade game : Death Smiles

I miss pretty much every game.

I know that when ever I find the place that I'm going to settle down and live in, it's going to have an arcade in it. I'll make room for a variety of different cabs (4 players, 2 player- 6 button fighters, table top). Yes I'm crazy.

Some of my favorites were

WWF Wrestlefest - spent countless quarters playing it trying to beat LOD on one quarter.

X-men - Great beat 'em up. Still love picking Nightcrawler and beating the snot out of the game.

Simpsons - Another great game. Really random style for Simpsons, but possibly the BEST. SIMPSONS. GAME. EVER.

A ton of shumps. I can't even begin to name a lot of them because I use to love them so much.

Smash TV - tough game to play but really neat because of the 2 joysticks.

Ninja Gaiden - I haven't played this one in probably 15 years, but I still remember hanging off Coca Cola (rip off) signs and kicking the Goalie mask bruisers.

TMNT: Turtles in Time - Quite possibly my favorite game ever. I was addicted to Ninja Turtles as a kid and I remember the first time I played this game and how much I loved it. I still do. Smoother gameplay vs. TMNT Arcade.

Monaco GP: a really really old racer that had a standing cab on it. Probably few people remember it but it had a digital point counter on the top of it.

The list goes on...NBA Jam, Time Killers, Golden Axe, Sunsetriders, Soul Calibur, Outrun, HotD 1-4, Time Crisis 2, Raiden, Twin Cobra, Karate Champ...I could go all day long.

I truly miss arcades.

What I miss more than the games is hanging out with my family at the bowling alley, pretending everything was all normal and stuff.

And air hockey.

...NO SERIOUSLY...
Well, that and Gauntlet Legends! My brother and I would dump DOLLARS into that machine at Blackbeards Arcade in Fresno!

(Dude, my current post count, 559, is Fresno's area code, I'm so exhausted, I shit my pants about it and told Dire I was going to take a screenshot. lol!)

You missed Skee Ball!? Gah, that is the only game I didn't like. Getting that stupid ball inside of those holes... it was like sex practice, except with balls. Ball sex? Hrm.

That'd hurt, yah mahn.

Well seeing as Ms. Pacman arcades are in like every movie theater I've been in, I really only miss Soul Calibur and Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 that were in my school campus, but were taken out for some strange reason. Always hung around the people that played those game, and though I was never too great at it due to lack of joystick skills, it was fun to both watch and play.

I remember I used to play DDR at the arcades with friends about 2 years ago. It was fun.

I can't play DDR in arcades, I would have stage fright or performance anxiety. I can't stand being the center of attention, especially when playing a dancing game, and I'm not exactly as light on my feet as I need to be for certain songs.

That would probably be the Mickey Mouse and friends version of DDR. Am I correct? ^^
