Got a PS3 today: What games should I buy?

I got a PS3 because my dad wanted a bluray player in the living room.
We don't own it because we particularly want anything for it.
Considering the fact that I like RPGs the most but would love to play anything if its good, can anyone recommend anything? The console came with Metal Gear Solid 4 and we also own Ratchet & Clank.

Please tell me why you like the game(s) you recommend. I can surely see their reviews at gamespot, but I'm looking for personal fun experiences.

You seem to have the only game worth getting for it...

But lucky you, you'll get to play Disgaea 3 when it comes out. The first two games were awesome if you're into strategy rpgs.

I can say from what I have seen played on the PS3 is that Call of Duty IV and Grand Theft Auto IV are both amazing on the console, but yeah, I realize they are on the other as well. Other than that, I really do not know. I hope to get a PS3 sooner or later.

On top of what you own, I've heard Call of Duty 4 is good. I've had fun with Assassin's Creed and just picked up Uncharted at the recommendation of a friend.

But yeah, I guess the main cool thing is Disgaea 3, but I need to play and beat 1 and 2 before I even do that. I don't want to just jump to 3. I've played all Shining Force and FF Tactics games, so Disgaea is a series that is new to me.

Hopefully FF13 is even adequately any good...

Assassin's Creed is fun, but I don't know if that is in your vein of games to be honest Borg. Same goes for Ninja Gaiden Sigma (if you've missed out on the xbox games).

Disgaea 3 and Valkyria Chronicles are the 2 reasons I'm probably picking up a PS3 in the next 5-6 months.

Heavenly Sword is good, and Folklore is actually a lot more fun than I thought it would be.
