What games have you completed so far this year?

I've done a few

Ninja Gaiden DS
Blue Dragon
NHL 2k8
Assassin's Creed
Mass Effect (Twice)
Super Dodgeball Brawlers

Not too many so far. I'm really close to finishing Super Mario Galaxy and also Ninja Gaiden II. Be moving onto Lost Odyssey soon.

Uh, zero (unless you count SSBB). Considering I haven't really bought any games this year besides Brawl, not a big deal. I did start playing through Final Fantasy Tactics (original on PSX) again, getting about 3/4 through it. I do want to finish it, because I beat it back around when it came out and I didn't remember much.

I'm going to try and finish Mother before the Mother 3 fan translation is finished though.

If you count fighting games and puzzle games, it will be a few from this genre.

Shit! I've yet to complete any RPG at all! The closest would be FF1 (PSP), probably by next week if I get bored with it.

So far, the only game I've completed is Crisis Core. I spent a lot of time on WoW up til a month ago, and lately, I've been more into reading again.

I've played a lot of Lost Odyssey and FFXII, but I haven't beat either one.

No one really cares too much, but I finished off Super Mario Galaxy yesterday with all the stars. That and I finished Ninja Gaiden II the other day as well. I'll start up on RE 4 Wii edition now and also work on Ninja Gaiden II, Rondo of Swords and Lost Odyssey on the side.

The ratio of games I've beaten to games I've bought for this year is just... pathetic.

Mass Effect (PC)
Metal Gear Solid 4 (PS3)

Never mind I bought some 20-odd games since Jan. :/

I've started a few, but never finished. I blame World of Warcraft.

Matron

Yeah, blame that game, it's what kept me from beating everything too! Every time I get out it sucks me back in.

Well, until last month when I finally canceled all three accounts. Finally, I'm free!
For now at least.

I still can't beat anything though, my tv won't cooperate.

Part-time job and no class in the summer.

Seriously. I work at a Hallmark. Never more than 6 hours a day and they have a rule where you can't work more than 50 hours every two weeks. It's a joke.

Much time for whatever to occur. I love it.

The fact everyone sems to be handing me money also helps out with the gas and food part of this awesome equation.

Well these are some old ones but I'm too poor with school and my recent trip to move on to next-gen consoles. I did buy a wicked computer for school however.

I beat:

FFXII - yeah I finally got back to playing it, and this time around it was quite entertaining. A slow story, ambiguous at best, but it still had the great FF sidequests that I've come to enjoy. The battle system was amazing IMO, and I loved how status effects were actually important/useful in this game.

MGS 3 - one of my all time favorites. I have been aching to play 4. I just beat 3 on extreme, which is ridiculously hard to do with a tranq gun.

NHL 08 - I play this game all the time at my friend's house. I'm so stoked for 09

Suikoden V - I had almost completed this game when it came out a couple of years back, but I got sidetracked with girlfriends and traveling. It just so happened that I only needed about 8 hours of gameplay to finish it off. I have mixed opinions about it. Not that I dislike the game, but at times I feel disappointed with it; at the same time, I could say it was one of the best stories I've experienced in an RPG.

I actually beat games this year!!

-Breath of Fire V (Absolutely love this game, one of the best ps2 games)

-Grandia Xtreme (Great battlesystem still, but the dungeons get way too repetitive and story elements are handed to you in enormous chunks, that or nothing at all for hours...)

-.Hack 3 (even playing a hack game once every 4 year doesn't make the monotony of the dungeons go away)

-Unlimited Saga (Actually, once you know how the game works, granted finding that out is proper painful, it's quite a solid game with some amazing original concepts which, unfortunately, could have been handled so so much better)

More than last year, but not much. Not like years gone by when I completed many.

Super Castlevania 4: fun game.

Legend of Heroes: Wasn't expecting much and ended up really enjoying this game.

Ar Tonelico: the battlesystem was boring, but the game had alot of charm.

Breath of Fire: finally got around to playing the original and it wasn't bad at all.

Chrono Cross: awesome game. I've had this game since it came out and finally took the time to play it. I now understand all the hype.

Beat FFTA2 two days ago with 300 quests completed. I have one more sidequest to do, but I have tried beating it three times now, and it is absolutely ridiculous, so I put the game down. If I can find a FAQ that tells me my reward, I might go back and finish it, but I seem to have trouble with that. Not like the reward will really help me out that much. Nothing else to do after that. :p

Edit: Apparently 'The Final Quest' has a few extra bonuses after beating it, and I read up on how to beat it (kinda), so I might go for it.

Well, the only thing that I've had time to finish so far in the past few weeks was Mega Man II, which I've done a number of times. Also topped up with Lost Odyssey. I'm so close to finishing Lunar Knights (DS). RE 4 has been pissing me off a little bit because, I love the game and I think I'm near the end but then I get thrown into some new area. I'm not even sure if I am close to finishing it or not any more.

I just got to the military compound on the island. I killed Salaazar and jumped into the boat with Ada finishing the chapter. Like I said, I'm really enjoying the game but I'm just wondering how far I am exactly and I don't want to look at an FAQ to see because it will spoil the story for me.

10-14-2008, 08:53 AM
Cooo, now you're asking. Recent probing into GOG.com saw the completion of the Freespace games, and the subsequent purchase and 'completion' of X3 (that is to say 'completion of the story mode,' but I've really barely scratched it).
Other than that nothing, I don't think. A quick blast on Need For Speed Underground earlier in the year, but that was just a bored revisit. Completing completed games is a day or two, max.

*racks his brain*
OH! I had a spate of downloading months ago, so Warcraft3 (again) and Frozen Throne for the first time.... and Fallout 2, but that was never about completing it.

I'd say you're about half to 2/3rds done. Game took me about 19 hours first playthrough, feels like you're almost done...and you're not. I still have to take a run through on this on professional mode, practice for RE5. :D

I have an almost 100% game in all fields but items, in Castlevania: TOC. I just need a few boss medals, but I have become completely bored with the game. Normal was. . .easy. Level 1 Hard mode was easy but a bitch, and Level 255 Hard Mode is a damn joke, however, except for the fact that no matter how high my defense may be, every single enemy still does a minimum damage of 31. The only mode I have not beaten is Albus Mode, but it is poorly designed, and it was fun for only the first twenty minutes or so. I put it down. In my opinion, I think it is an awesome game, so if anyone has not had the chance to buy or play the game, I highly recommend doing so. I am looking forward to the next installment. :)

Lost Odyssey was pretty good, I did the experimental lab dungeon (or whatever it was called) and beat the boss at the end at about level 80 or so, he was actually half way challenging. The end was actually some what shocking (well just part of it), which you don't find much these days in any game (or it's just too predictable.)

Right at the end of Eternal Sonata, so I'm just gonna say this is as good as beaten today.
