Anybody have one? I've got one but I'm currently looking for something new to add to my collection.

For those who have played Suikoden IV, my tattoo is the Rune of Punishment on my shoulder blade.

Anyways what I'm looking for is something v/g related, preferably, Persona 3 (looking currently at the latin phrase "memento mori.") I need ideas!

Oh, and, post yours!

i want to get a tattoo of my face, the same size as my face, on my face, but like 3 inches to the left. then i'll stand outside a 3D movie theater and make people's heads explode.

I have 3, and I'm sick and lazy right now so I'm not going to be posting pictures right now... One is in the pictures thread though.

I have a total of five. I would take pictures, but I really do not feel like it. Dial-up is a bitch. I plan on getting quite a few of them. My left arm is going to be dedicated to alchemy and science, and my right arm is going to be dedicated to religion. My favorite tattoo thus far is on my right arm, and I found it on Google images. I love it. This is it, but however, I did the tattoo in black because the red would had been horrible to go with for various reasons:

The guy that did my tattoo did a wonderful job on it, and it looks great.

dont like needless?

yeah on my right shoulder im making a coat of arms for myself with the Sword of Justice and the Master Sword Crossed in the back. and my name under it the problem is figuring out what I should have on my coat of arms. sense a coat of arms is a representation for what a person stands for. its not for a whole family but for an individual in that family.

another for my left shoulder is a yinyang (still in question if I'll have the YinYang in it at all right now) with the 7 Japanese symbols for Bushido with two katana's crossed in the back. the 7 symbols represent Heroic Courage, Honor, Compassion, Duty & Loyalty, Honesty & Justice, Polite Courtesy, and Complete Sincerity. and around it all will be "The Way of the Warrior Bushido"

and on my back will be a Phoenix from shoulder to shoulder with a lion and tiger intertwined with the words "Born of Fire, Year of the Tiger, Month of the Lion, 15AUG86."

No, I just find tattoos unattractive, with few exceptions.

Could you post the bushido symbols? I was thinking of doing it down my side back to front type deal.

I'm *hoping* to get a Vesvigir on the small of my back (I know, I know, tramp stamp) next week in Reykjavik. I haven't been able to make an appointment yet though because we don't know our schedule yet, but the Vesvigir is standard flash here so with a few color mods, I hope I can get it done to embellish later.

Eventually I want the Oaxacan tree of life up my back with the Vesvigir tangled in it's roots. In the branches, I want symbols of my travels- like sugar skulls for Mexico, rain for England :P, etc. I need to find an artist to conceptualize the idea with, but I wouldn't be getting it for a few years.

few exceptions? personally I see it as art. I wont put anything on my body that I did not work on myself. sure someone else is going to have to ink it on me, but it will be of my own original design.

oh and dutch yeah I'll try and get them uploaded so you can get it.

I love tattoos :) They're uber sexy. I just don't think I could pull one off so i'm currently tattoo less.

They can go either way to me. I've seen ones that were sexy and I've others that were plain gross.

Do I have any? Nope.

I love girls with ink. I absolutely do, yes.

I have one very small one on the outside of my right ankle. It is a self-done tat I did while drinking and burnin' one back about 18 years ago. It is the number 69 and that damn thing still hasn't faded away. Done with an insulin needle and indian ink.

Sounds like my dad's tats. Plain old bluish ink, my name on one arm, mom's on the other, and that little prison cross thing on his hand.

I've thought about getting something done once or twice, but tattoo parlors were actually illegal in my state until about a year or so ago. Now I don't even know what I'd have put on if I did decide to go for it.

If you're into that, I guess it is fine but I'd as soon have my little tat gone. Beer and pot will do that to ya. Fortunately, those days are long gone.

Don't have any, but I do find them really attractive. I would get one, but I'm so ****ing indecisive that I'm pretty sure it'd take me ages to pick, and then think "I should've gotten something else" and regret it from day one. What a draaaag.

I do remember about two years ago when a friend and I went with another friend to get his tattoo, and it was insane. He picked a huge ****ing dragon and put it all across his back. Tried to keep it a secret but that didn't last more than a week. It was pretty impressive though, I hadn't really met anyone else with a tattoo at the time.

I want one on the back of my neck (dead center, top of my back, at the shoulder line). I'm leaning towards something circular and Taoist, but the only definitive Taoist symbol is the yin yang--and I'm not partial to it. It's sort of clich? and a lot of people who have it don't even really believe in it on an intimate level.

I don't really want anything intricate. Something clean and minimalist. The only other idea that I like is getting the phrase "Action Without Action" which would look more like:

ACTION
without
ACTION

So it'd be more square on the back of my neck--I'd just be sort of apprehensive about getting the typography done properly. That, and it's sort of a blunt translation of "Wei wu wei" but it's still meaningful to me.

You could get something done with the words themselves to be more circular. If you want, I'd be happy to take a stab at it.

Inari: I have not exactly read the I-Ching yet (been sitting on my shelf for a month, and I really need to get to it), but I am sure you know about the 64 abstract line arrangements which are the hexagrams. You could possibly find and use a hexagram that you feel like suites your needs for getting a tattoo concerning Taoism. Yeah, the lines are kind of plain, but I have not seen anyone with a tattoo like that, though, and really, I think it would actually look pretty cool to tell you the truth. Just a thought.

Actually, Inari, as I was reading my physics book today called The Tao of Physics, it had an extremely awesome circle made up of all 64 hexagrams of the I-Ching. However, that would probably take forever to get. :p

I've decided to get something done- I think my appointment is August the 2nd or the 8th. Haven't decided for sure what to get, though I have a couple of ideas. I also can't decide between the lower back or back of the neck.

My husband and I were talking about it the other day, and he had me rolling, talking about getting a Star Trek insignia over my left breast. But nah, too silly for me, even if it would be hilarious. Much funner than the alligator!

I was thinking of getting something on the back of my neck, then I found out regulations in my state forbid it. No neck or face tats in South Carolina, what a frickin awesome place I live in! Of course I shouldn't whine, they just legalized tattoo parlors here last year or the year before last, anyway.

...hahah what?
Weird...

I think face tats are weeeeird anyway... I saw a guy with a barcode on the back of his neck. I thought "oh wow...how original" as my eyes were mentally rolling.

Matron

I wouldn't have one on my face either, it's just that it's stupid that my state regulates where a person can get one done. Or rather where the artist can put one, I guess.

I think the guy would do it anyway, he said something about it depending on where and how high of a collar my shirt had, hehe!

Wish me luck, I should (hopefully) have pictures by Sunday!
