What game series are you devoted to? The ones that always make you get excited when you hear that the latest installment is going to have a sequel.
I know for me there are a few...
Grandia series
Panzer Dragoon series
Ninja Gaiden series
Chrono series
Contra series
A few others that I suppose I could be a fan of and devoted to, but not for everything in the series of games.

The Legend of Zelda. Period.
I used to wait for King's Quest games, but since VII, they've blown royally.

My devotion to most Nintendo franchises is all but lost at this point, which until a year ago I would've thought nigh impossible. Alas, 'tis so.... Without further ado, my list, in some semblance of order:
Starcraft
Diablo
Halo
Chrono
Castlevania
Warcraft
Advance Wars
God of War
FIFA '##

I cannot say I am really devoted to any series these days, but I still enjoy reading news and such about what may or is coming out. The two big ones I can think of are Metal Gear and Suikoden. However, I do need to play MGS4 and Suikoden V.

Golden Sun
Otogi (there will be an Otogi 3, damn it!)
Zone of the Enders (likewise, there shall be a third installment; and yes, I'm ignoring the GBA game)
Halo
The Legend of Zelda
That's about it really. So... as you can see, I don't play many games these days :\

KotOR series
Those are all pretty much gimmes for me. I'm gonna play them and most times I really enjoy them.

Golden Sun seems like it will see the light of day again, but Nintendo wants to keep it hushed up for a while before it can make another big splash.
I'm there with you on Otogi. I could always use more Otogi in my life. As long as they finally do away with the rapidly deteriorating health issue, this series would be so much better.

Final Fantasy
Shadow Hearts
Xenogears/ Xenosaga
Dragon Quests

That's the only complaint I ever had with Otogi really. I wished I could have taken my time to enjoy the beautiful surroundings, just take it all in, ya know?
I remember when there were rumors of a GameCube Golden Sun, but that obviously didn't happen. Hopefully we'll get a Wii sequel (cause I don't have a DS haha).

Oh come now. You know you're going to drop the fifty for Fallout 3. Maybe not when it's released, maybe you won't want to, but eventually.

I tend not to get too attached to any particular series, but among the ones I am most "devoted" to would be are:
Klonoa
Castlevania (2D)
Gradius
Metal Slug
Crash Bandicoot (only the Naughty Dog ones of course)
Jak and Daxter (damn you PSP, I want to play Daxter on my PS2!)
Ratchet and Clank (damn you PS3 for R&C:Future!)

There are quite a few game series' that I own all or most of the games just because I enjoy the games themselves but I wouldn't say I'm devoted to the series enough to automatically get the next game when its out. But I guess I do have are a few series like that.
-Devoted Game Series-
Ogre Battle/Tactics Ogre (if only they would come out with a new one anytime soon)
Fire Emblem
Suikoden
Chrono (same as Ogre Series)
-Other Game Series I enjoy-
Castlevania
Metal Gear Solid
The Legend of Zelda
Resident Evil
Silent Hill
Pokemon
Metroid
Smash Brothers
Tales
Final Fantasy
Seiken Densetsu
Starcraft
Phakiel

I will, but I can't say I'm devoted to the series. The first two games are awesome, the others don't make my Top 50, and I'm not too sure I even want to consider Fallout 3 as part of the "series" yet.

Hmm, I hadn't even considered Brotherhood of Steel and Fallout Tactics. Eh, I guess it's just that I only think of two games (And soon, hopefully, three) when I think of Fallout.
Well, since most of the series I'm devoted to don't produce games anymore... I'll just list the ones that do.
Resident Evil
Zelda
Shin Megami Tensei
That pretty much covers it.
