Well, even though they've changed the dates and the way the event is held, it's coming up this week and we all will be expecting something big to happen.

This year is one that I'm not too sure about but maybe we will see something huge. I'm thinking that the PSP might see some kind of upgrade or potential successor hinted at or even shown. That's possibly it for consoles this year.
Totally a guess though.

Games wise, probably will see God of War 3. Maybe a New Halo game. Not sure about anything else.

Just a little something that seemed interesting for you and the other GoW fans out there. Seems inevitable that it's going to happen either at E3 or sometime in the near future.

Biggest news so far has probably been the FF XIII move to 360 and PS3.

[Edit]The new Wii Sports game sounds like it could be pretty fun as well. I like playing frizbee and it might be fun as a Wii game.

Microsoft's Xbox 360 video game console will be able to stream thousands of movies over the internet, thanks to a deal announced with Netflix that highlights the way gaming devices are expanding into all-purpose home-entertainment hubs.

The arrangement, revealed at the E3 Media & Business Summit in Los Angeles, will let Netflix subscribers stream 10,000 movies and TV shows to Xbox consoles for viewing on television sets, beginning this fall. Xbox had movies and shows available for download before, but only half as many.

Being completely honest, Sony didn't do anything to impress anyone. GoW III being the biggest thing that they could showcase off. I can't imagine that suddenly everyone is going to be jumping back onto Sony's bandwagon. Plus, not for myself but for others, losing the grip on the FF series I'm sure doesn't make it much easier for them to encourage people to buy a PS3 even more. Especially those with 360's already.

I'll be picking up a PS3 probably by years end, but not because of any game even on that list of confirmed titles. I want Disgaea 3, Valkyria Chronicles and maybe GoW III. Other then that, Sony needs some more RPGs and such to get it going for me to stay excited.
