Does anyone have any hints for getting DS carts to read? Several of my daughter's games refuse to play now. I've tried cleaning them, tried the old blowing trick, and it still just says "there is no DS card inserted". Any tips that I haven't thought of yet?
Also, what's the best way to clean the carts? I've always used a Q tip and alcohol, but I don't want to make things worse.

Not too sure if that's safe to do with a DS cart or not. It's okay with older cards as long as you are only clearing out the dust and dirt from the sides and not touching the chip that is placed into the console.
I know I've had the issue before but usually all it takes is for the game to be popped out and then back in again. Sounds like there may be an internal issue Dire.

Happened to me too sometimes. I just re-enter them and that usually works.

One went through the washer the other day. Not a pretty sight, but it still plays if I jiggle it in just right. Poor Zelda...

maybe there is a tiny not entirely visible clump of dust that is firmly mounted between some of the tabs inside the DS that is preventing the cards from playing, unfortunatly, my technical training really did not cover handheld systems
