lol, I was actually thinking of filling in some Pokemon and Kingdom hearts news considering that no existing staff does that right now...

Either way, I wont be submitting an application so soon. I'm a tad busy right now... maybe next week.

Then again I may change my mind... English is not my first language and I am dyslectic so this isn't exactly the best job for me... well I can always check thrice...

I'm still interested in possibly doing some retro reviews for older titles. I haven't worked on anything at all recently and my writing is a little bland. If someone were willing to edit it I'd probably be more willing to complete a few.

Emanuel is a fairly good writer. Not to mention he has some experience in that area, so I think he'd be good for that position. Either way, he's the only applicant at the moment I think. (I haven't checked the other site yet)

I know how to encourage him to do that! Let's mercilessly chastise him for every mistake he makes! I'm sure that's what a good teacher would do.

With regards to recruitment, I refuse to commit myself to such things because I know I'd just get bored and stop trying after two weeks.

Although I feel like a real 'me too' poster after DrunkSwashbuckler's post, I would be willing to do some writing. I have read the post and I can honestly say I'm certainly not cut out for the reporting that is being asked for. However, I have been playing RPGs for quite a while and should be able to manage an editorial or other similar writing. Seems the least I can do.

I am fully aware that you play a lot of old RPGs that people have never played. If I try and talk to Hyde or somebody about the site, I think maybe a classic RPG review would be great, and I believe you are probably one of the most experienced people around here when it comes to that. Not sure, though. I have not talked to anyone about the main site in ages.

I don't have as much experience as Priest, but I can hold my own for almost every single console RPG (of the past 15 years) and if he were willing, I could work with him on some older stuff. That is if the site can use a couple of old guys bringing up retro reviews. There is no question though, Priest is the man with the master plan for CRPG, past and present.

[Edit] As a side note, what has been going on the with the main site. It got up and running but hasn't been really touched since the Diablo III announcement. Should we actually choose some people already to get things going?

Yup, I know you have a vast knowledge of games as well, Sushi, so I would never leave you out. :D

Regarding the features, yeah, I know. That is what I am trying to figure out right now. As far as I know, Blue and I are the only two staff members right now, but Blue has the forums to deal with along with other things. Hyde has his other site and outside projects like school and such, so I hardly ever see him, then again, I am never really awake or around when he is here.

Wow, so essentially it's only you getting things done for the most part then Mepistopheles? We need to get on this now if we are planning on making this a serious site again. It's disheartening to see that very little is being done. Perhaps we can get it together because it seems that we have people willing to do some little bits and pieces here and there. If anything it would be great to see us come together and all contribute in our own way, plus have some regular staff.

I am thinking reviews and previews would be great and all, but we would need dedicated people to do that, and I know of not a person available around here that has the time or is willing to do that, so I am not really focused on that right now. I have been looking through some of the topics on the forums, and I think some of them would make great editorials and such. It might sound like a lazy and crazy idea, but I thought about just incorporating some posts in these threads (rightfully sourced to the poster) and making something out of it. Really, anything to throw up there that is original and new content for the site is the main goal I am striving to reach.

I think it could be a good one to hold onto just before the next Castlevania hits the DS Ges. I've read your feature some time ago and I thought overall it was pretty good. I think it needs to have an update for Portrait of Ruin and it would be ready to go. That and perhaps a review of Order of Ecclesia.
