Teen Dramas

I'm not really into this genre... But there is one show I love watching... it's just composed so well. It's called "Skins" many of you probably haven't heard of it since it's an English show... I just love it that unlike other teen dramas this one is actually realistic and exiting... And to top that up you don't get 30 year olds acting as 17-19 year olds. What you see is what it is and that's it. The acting is phenomenal and the stories are incredible.

So what teen dramas do you like?

I used to watch this spin off from Dawson called Young Americans but it was a short lived show. I loved the theme song.

Also watched The Opposite Sex starring Peter Petreli, blonde hobbit superman friend from Smallville and the human torch but it was also short lived.

These days, dont watch anything close to teen drama, except maybe Maury.

I don't watch much TV right now. But Smallville and the OC were my thing.

...yeah...no. I tend to shy away from most "dramas." The closest I get, is I LOVE House. But that's hardly a teen drama.

I hate the OC and One tree hill. Why is it that most American dramas are about jocks and stupid girls? This is partially why I like skins so much. It's about realistic people with real problems. And it's certainly not based on just one stereotype/culture.

That's why I can't/couldn't relate to most teen dramas. I hate jocks, and I never was an airheaded stupid girl. I mean, I can be a total ditz, but I still had a brain about me, I wasn't all boy crazy or a stuck up snob, not at all, which is how most girls on those shows are, stuck up little rich girls. Rich- me? so far from that it wasn't even funny!

I related to Buffy's world so much better, I want to be Willow when I grow up. (funny, since I'm older than she is/was, lmao) I was always the girl that wanted to fit, but never quite did, I was just too weird, with my books and my black clothes and my green mascara. Not quite a geek, but not cool either. I was a perfect combination of Buffy and Willow, without the magic or the ass kicking slayer powers.
