What games would you like to see make it to the online gaming scene, and if you could, what games from the past would you like to see online.

Smash Brothers would have been my first option, but that's already a dream come true. I'd enjoy kicking all your asses from the comfort of my room.

I'd be cool if the .hack series was an online game, since the game is basically constructed around a MMO game anyway. Tenchu needs a better online mode. It would be full of awesome if you could have teams of ninjas executing missions, or even go head to head. Dead Rising also comes to mind. Can you imagine the sheer insanity of an online zombie mall simulator with multiple people?

DBZ is already coming soon as an online game, so yaa, that is what I want to play.

Suikoden, somehow. I don't think it'd be too popular, though.

BD, Dead Rising seems like it could fit the bill as a cool online game. Isn't Left 4 Dead going to basically be just like that though?

I can't think of too many off the top of my head but a Shenmue/River City Ransom game would be pretty neat as an online style brawling game. I could see it working but it could be difficult to pull off and actually make interesting. I'd probably buy it though and I pretty much hate online games.

Casltevania. 2D or 3D. I'm sure any realistic attempt would likely suck, but that doesn't mean I can't dream of a massive SotN or CoD.

I think a lot of these games would work in a Phantasy Star/Diablo-ish setting and not necessarily as MMORPGs, like the Castlevania and Final Fantasy Tactics things. Imagine a castle built around Portrait of Ruin's dual-character set up, but with the assumption that both characters could be doing two separate things in two different places at the same time? It'd be very cool. And for Tactics, it could easily be online battles or cooperative missions.

Finally I have to agree with Tenchu. I'm not a fan of the series but Tenchu 3's multiplayer entertained me and a friend of mine for a good long time, and this was just based on playing the escort, and stealth missions (Of which there was only one map of for each of those game modes). I can't help but wonder what a full game based on cooperative Tenchu gameplay would be like if infiltrating that castle with a friend was already so fun. And of course to coincide with the thread, it could work online.

Oh yeah, and deathmatch was a lot of fun in those, too, since there were enemies littered around the maps that would attack either of you equally. Setting up your opponent to be attacked by them while you pick at him from afar was extremely satisfying.

Left 4 Dead isn't really going to be in a mall as far as I know. It seems to be more like Resident Evil, while DR is a goofy, kill all you want, with unlimited resources game. Which focuses less on survival and more on the fun factor.

I'd like an MMO that is highly similar to Jedi Outcast. Goddamn jedi everywhere and sith and such.
