I'm starting this thread because I wanted to hear about some movies that might have slipped past my radar. I figure it would be helpful for any film buff here. Just post the last movie(s) you saw regardless of being a DVD or one you saw in the theater. Just post what you thought about it without posting any spoilers.

I'll start.

A Walk To Remember:

It was a corny movie and completely predictable. It also carried a lot of teen high school stereotypes. If you want to see a desperate love story then this movie is for you. Not too bad though.

Pale Rider:

It was a typical Clint Eastwood western movie. Dark mysterious character bring down the hammer of justice on wrongdoers. Not bad, pretty good if you like westerns.

In theaters: I finally saw The Dark Knight today. It's this really obscure movie, you might not have heard of it, but it was really good.;)

On DVD: The last movie I watched was Strange Wilderness. Just another stoner comedy, it was funny enough, but I liked Superbad and Knocked Up a lot more.

Two weeks ago, we took the kids to the freebie movie in town, they were showing Alvin and The Chipmunks. Yeah, I know it's already been on dvd a while, but we never saw it. It was... well, computer generated Chipmunks, what else is there to say?

Black eyeliner + white eyeshadow.

Last movie I watched in theaters was The Dark Knight, and it was amazing.

The last movie I watched on cable was Bulletproof with Damon Wayans and Adam Sandler...and it's freaking hilarious... Seriously, it's my second favorite Adam Sandler movie (50 First Dates = #1!!).

I just caught The Green Mile on the History channel and enjoyed it, since I hadn't seen it in years. I forgot how much I liked Tom Hanks, actually.

I watched a movie called Once. It's an Irish indie musical about a boy and girl that meet and they sing about it XD I really liked it.

The Princess Bride still kicks ass. Watch it!

Snatch - Just bought this at Borders. Good stuff.

Enemy At The Gates - Also just bought this. If somebody hasn't seen it, it's really great and intense.

Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay

Watched it on pay-per-view for the first time. Even though it's kind of a formulaic comedy, you have to appreciate the 5 straight minutes of vagina at the Miami bottomless party. And the KKK scene. I was laughing my brain off.

Funny enough? My grandpa's funeral was funnier than that movie.

I actually watched The Devil's Advocate the other day for the first time. Keanu's Southern accent was absolutely horrible. Oh, man.

Watched that one extremely boring movie Juno, too. I think my best friend's wife wanted to see it, so we sat down and watched it at the house. Thank goodness I had some beer.

Last one I remember seeing that I liked was Jean-Luc Godard's Le Petit soldat (The Little Soldier).

I just watched Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay too. Loved it, laughed my ass off, the vagina scene in Miami was indeed awesome, and NPH is at his best, dammit that dude is awesome, Doogie.

I need to watch that movie because I loved the first one so much. They are going to be making a third one because of how well the last one did in theaters, and that news was released before the DVD went on sale.

It was fantastic. Its sillier than the first, dwelves into political themes but just enough to point it out and not sound preachy, its just for the sake of entertainment.

Favourite part, besides the Miami party, the Redneck sleep over.

I was just watching some parts of The Butterfly Effect while on Lunch break and made me remember how much I liked the movie when i first saw it. I think that even though he prety much made the movie happen, the film would have been so much better without Ashton Kutcher in the lead or Amy Smart as the main romantic interest and secondary character. I think Kutcher is horrible and Smart is wooden as hell, at least Zooey Deshanel is nice to look at, but Smart is so generic, i dont know how she gets parts (****ing the producer/director).

Anyway, its a decent enough film and the kids that play the main characters are pretty damn good, particularly the kid that plays Tommy as a puber, if you havent watched it, probably because of Ashton Kutcher, give it a shot.

The second one, gives a better character than Evan, but it falls flat on delivery. Erica Durance looks hot though, but she is featured for limited time, too limited.

I saw The Peacemaker because my dad recommended it. It was basically what I thought it would be: a typical, predictable action movie. Nothing special.
