He didn't... he's just got... "problems."
Poofy

All he does is shuck corn all day. I'd be agitated too if I were him.
And Chacha, next time you create a long username, could you put a space in place of the "_", so your name can fold under itself, rather than me having to adjust my monitor's resolution to 1600x1200 in order to read the right side of your post without having to scroll. :P

apologies for that, that night i admit i was tired, and also doing some posting on another forum, so i didnt entirely think before i typed....also as you can clearly see from the debate i inadvertantly caused in the Star Trek vs. Star Wars thread that i am a huge fan of science fiction. and i will be sure to keep Mr. P's attitude in mind

i do not want to sound like a moderator but gentlemen, do we really require such talk?
this thread is simply for the use of getting to know the members and for the members to get to know myself. (sorry if i did sound like a moderator, i am a supermoderator on another forum........and it does have a member by the name of BAMAJAMA, ironic if they were the same person)

Nonsense. There is no better way to treat someone than to engage in a feud with them, trading wits and smartass remarks. It's the quickest and most efficient way to earn respect, which in turns leads to better treatment of each other. Treating others nicely goes beyond making superficial gestures of courtesy and politeness.

i take it you are Dana, Matron?

That's the kind of thing that smart-a** internet bashers say.
I somewhat agree with it, though. The best way to get to know someone, is to argue with them. But that doesn't mean everyone should go around being pricks to each other.
Superficial gestures of courtesy and politness aren't always superficial, and are well-meant many times. They aren't a waste of space, either. I would much prefer it if someone was polite than an asshat that goes around making stupid witty comments all the time in an attempt to appear 'cool'. That's just me, though.

It would be nice to keep this stuff out of the intros threads though, it's going to scare new members away.

Intro threads are stupid and pointless to begin with. The only way to make them interesting is to mess with the newbies. Not only is it fun for me, it accelerates their acceptance of sarcasm.

If they're so pointless then why do all internet forums have them? They must have some underlying point to them.
Oh, I think I know what the point is. To welcome new members.
Duh.

New members can be welcomed in other ways, like by making good posts and gaining favor for it. And there are some very successful forums that don't have intro sections.

Key word: Normal(ly)
This place is far from most definitions of 'normal'.
:p
as for the word normal...what contstitues normallity? if a big group of people do something is that normal? so a select few not doing something that the rest of people so is abnormal? how about if everyone started eating with only there face would that be normal then? hahaha define normal and then we will start to talk.
~Chachamaru_Karakuri~
08-16-2008, 03:58 AM
*clamps on DevilKings arm*
normal is most often defined as the regularly accepted personality traits, but when noone knows what exactly regularly accepted is, there is no real definition for normal.
Poofy

Normality is overrated.
~Chachamaru_Karakuri~
08-16-2008, 04:37 AM
exactly, normality is overrated, and furthermore, with normality being overrated like it is, what do you say to more excitement
