BEER, WINE, Mixers, and SHOTS. Woo, there's a lot to choose from. As for my drinking experiences, they've been few and far between. I still have to ask the homeless guy in the park to buy my booze.

Not soon, though. I'll be 21! Tell us about your drinking habits as well as your 21st. I was talking with a customer at work and he told me he knew a few guys that took it WAY too far on their 21st, and some even died from very unwise consumptions.

I just hope I don't become an alcholic. Haha. Most of the greatest writers have been alcoholics, though, so maybe it'll help in my aspirations. :D

On my 21st Birthday, I didn't go out and get trashed. I went to dinner with my THEN-wife and got a nice, expensive bottle of wine to drink with dinner.

Before then, I hadn't drunk much. Now, I still don't. I'd rather have a XXX Vitamin Water or a Bottle of Gatorade or a Coke before a beer most times, but I drink on occasion. When I do, though, it is usually hard liquor.

On my 21st, I was pregnant, so no drink for me.

I went through my drinking phase between 18 and 20. I had a lot of fun, drank with all the redneck boys. I never was a fan of beer, although I'd drink it for drinking games, like Drunk Driver or Bullshit. Usually, I did shots or mixed drinks. I never, ever, let it get to a point where I felt my drinking was out of control, like I couldn't stop. That's always been a fear of mine, so I tried to watch out for it.

Anyway, one day, I just stopped with the big drinking. It took a car accident to do so, but no one was hurt, even though the car was totalled.

Now, I don't drink much. In fact, I didn't drink at all for years, it's just in the past few months that I've started dabbling again. Now, I keep vodka, rum, and 90 proof peach in the freezer, and it lasts me for months. I might have a drink or two at night, maybe once a week, or even just every few weeks, just to help me relax and make my brain shut up, but I still do my best not to make it a habit. As I fount out last weekend, it still takes a pretty good bit to get me drunk, so I'm not a cheap drunk, lol.

I turn 21 the day before I take a red eye to London for a semester and after spending half a year in 2 countries where the drinking age is either 20 or nonexistent (what is the drinking age of Mexico anyway?). My British friends who I've been close to for almost 8 years now are throwing me a party to introduce me to British beer and men. Yeah.

For my actual 21st, I'll probably go out to dinner with my family somewhere nice and order something girly. I've had wine, brandy, ouzo, and margaritas with my family at/after dinners since I was about 8 so the whole go out and get trashed thing just seems utterly immature to me.

I'm not 21 yet, won't be for another two years-ish. But that doesn't stop me from drinking when I'm in the mood. I've come to the realization that I don't like drinking with people my age that much. Most people in my age-bracket, the only reason they drink is to get drunk. They get some alcohol and their immediate reaction is like, "WHOOO We're gonna get HAMMERED and SHITFACED and PUKE."

Not that I don't enjoy being drunk sometimes, but most of the time, I'd rather have three or four drinks, enough to get a good relaxing buzz going, and then by the time I get home in three or four hours, the buzz is all but gone and I can just chill. It's hard to be that kind of drinker when you're surrounded by a bunch of rowdy teens who only drink to get drunk.

I can't remember what I did on my 18th which is when you can start drinking here (you can start at 16, achuwie, with an adult. yeah don't ask) but I'd been well into before. I rarely every get wasted anyway! And when I do, it's really massively bad.

I definitely bought booze and definitely went to a bar with friends. My parents took me out to dinner the following night and wanted me to order wine and the 'oh god no more' look on my face sort of gave away what happened the night before, but I sucked it up and ordered it anyways.

First thing I bought when I turned 21 was a handle of Jack. Me and 2 friends spent all day making sure it was just as gone as we were. Then we topped it off with Bailey's on the rocks. Tasty, creamy.

I celebrated my 18th birthday at a huge keg party at a friend's house. I bought a couple of cigars and two packs of cigarettes. It was a pretty fun night all in all.

My 21st birthday: I woke up and drove over to my friend's old house. A group of friends and I packed up in his SUV, and we all drove down to a German restaurant/bar called the Brau Haus. They have excellent food, and the Brau Haus has the best selection of beer in town. After we left there, we all went over to my best friend's house and drank some more. I bought a couple of pints of Franziskaner Hefe-Weissbier Dunkel and a twelve-pack of Mackeson XXX Stout, which are both excellent beers. Did not do a whole lot, but I had a great time just being around my friends.

As far as my drinking goes, once I turned 21, I didn't care about drinking anymore, I only did it in the first place because it was WRONG:) I really don't care about alcohol, rather drink Diet Dew. When I did drink though, my poison of choice was straight Monte Alban(with the worm) tequila, yee-haa.

I've woken up in some strange predicaments, but I always knew how I got there, I just didn't have the energy to get out of them before falling asleep.

I've been awesomely stupendously drunk, but I've never done anything I didn't remember, anything I lived to regret (although one night was a near miss) or had a hangover.

I dunno. I drank a lot last saturday, didn't puke or anything, and felt fine sunday. I think my thing is alcohol goes through me really fast. It takes me forever to get drunk, but I piss a LOT, and sober up fast. So, I'm not usually a cheap drunk, but I feel fine afterwards.

I don't drink. I've only been drunk once and I become completely bitter and hateful... I very much dislike the effect alcohol has on me once I'm passed the "buzzed" stage. When I'm buzzed, I'm very quiet and observant. It's weird.

As for my 21st birthday, I was diagnosed with Shingles (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shingles) two days after my 21st birthday. The day of my birthday itself, I spent the night at a crappy hotel in Morro Bay, alone, working on assignments... Got home the next day, and a lump showed up on the side of my head...assumed it was a spider bite. Called the doctor's office, they were closing, so they told me to come in, first thing in the morning... 2 days after my birthday I was already in agonizing pain from the Shingles.

I've known tequila and tabasco to be called a Prairie Fire. A Snake Bite is usually Yukon Jack and lime juice.

My 21st was on a Monday night so the only people in the bar were me and my friends. Once the bartender found out it was my 21st, she immediately proceeded to make some of the most ungodly concoctions known to man. The mere thought of some of these drinks gives me that vomit taste in my mouth. I paid tribute to the porcelain god on that evening.

I did most of my drinking my 11th and 12th grade of high school (ages 16-18). I lived overseas where no laws were enforced and everyone in my high school drank. one place used to have unlimited drinks for $5. By the end of my senior year though drinking didn't seem like that big of a deals so I stopped drinking excessively except on occasion.

For my 21st I was in Nairobi, Kenya. I didn't really know anyone there so I gathered up a group of people I'd met through work and go out with me. We went so some bar called Casablanca where all the drinks were $8 and they had great hookahs. I had 5 mojitos, a green apple hookah, and was home by 1am. The good part was I didn't have to pay for anything. But I'm re-celebrating my 21th next weekend with my actual friends.

Ok my 21st.....

My day started out pretty much as normal, went to class, hung out with some friends. I knew a big night was ahead of me so I decided to just take my time and relax. I beat GTA San Andreas (this was around the release), as I finished up the game, people started to arrive at my dorm room. I got ready to go and went out with a crew of friends, one of which was my older brother (because its only right to party with your younger bro on his 21st). We went out to a few bars, the first stop was "The Best Damn Sports Bar" where I can a few shots, the ones I remember; the three wisemen, 4 horsemen, and some shot that curddled in my mouth...wasn't very good. After that we went over to "Pub 13", had a few shots there, none of which I can remember. The last thing I remember was going to "Sidetracks", I remember spilling a few drinks, plus a few waters.

The very next thing I remember, my roommate is yelling that someone was in our room. I climbed down from my loft to go and see what was going on, turns out he got scared away. I went into my bedroom and saw that my laptop, my ps2, my graphing calculator and about 200 cash was gone. Thankfully, I was covered under my parents home owner insurance, which replaced everything. Over the next year I battled to recover my laptop from the EMU police that had seized it from the Lansing Police. Oddly enough it was brought from a pawnshop, they couldn't figure out how to reformat a ibook g4, so it still had my name plastered all over the thing. The guy who bought it tracked me down and called asking for the password assuming I sold it to the pawn shop.

Oh and my brother tells me I had 27 drinks, pissed on my car, and proclamed that I was the Green Power Ranger.
