It definitely was WAY too bright. This is very easy on the eyes and also very fun to look at because it's new.

I also like how everytime the page loads I see something else fixed(i.e. links and such). :P Awesome design, too!

Good choice of colour in terms of Chinese FengShui. Is earth colour combination. It matches with the new period of 8. We should had abandon blue colour long time ago as it only work for period 7 (AllRPG was created during period 7 and was very popular then mainly because of the compatability if you believe in FengShui). Blue on the other hand is view as a violent colour in period 7. I firmly believe that having this new colour combination, we will able to get the chi attracted back to AllRPG name.

p.s: sorry Blue, if you are offended with my view here about FengShui. I'm just telling what I know, that's all. No offense if you your screen name happen to be Blue. I strongly suggest you change it.

I actually like it, and I'm the kind of person that's hard to please as far as designing goes. But I do have some minor suggestions (please don't take these personally, these are just some things I would do):

- The logo. The logo itself isn't bad (is that an actual font or is it original?), but the blue glow on the inside is dreadful (both the blue color itself and the fuzzyness don't work at all), and the shadow is too fuzzy as well.

- The pattern behind the logo. The tile behind the logo does not match the tile to the right. The tile on the left is better.

- The URL should probably be below the logo, and maybe smaller.

- The bar at the top with studs/diamonds. Either it shouldn't be broken up like that, or the links below should line up neatly under each segment.

- There is a line going through the links at the top. Makes it a little hard to read. It should either be more subtle or eliminated altogether.

- The "thread" gradient bar is too sharp. It would look better if it was more like the "post" gradient bar; either lower the contrast or make it a more gradual gradation.

- Argggh, the diagonal lines are still there! They seem to conflict with the text even more than before. You can keep them, but please, put them somewhere other than the post box.

- The "post reply" don't need that square on its left. It's a bit of a distraction.

- There is a one-pixel-wide line to the left of that thingy under the logo. Why is that there??? it abruptly stops right in the middle of the gradient background.

- That vertical thingy offshooting from the horizontal thingy is not only distracting and busy, but offsets the symmetry of that part of the design. Not needed AT ALL.

Since it looks like some of the icons have yet to be added, I assume it's still a work-in-progress, so I hope my suggestions are taken seriously. Still, don't take my critique as bashing the design as a whole, because i really do like it.

Also, the studs on the main page shouldn't have the "+", if only because one might mistake it for a collapse/expand button.

A favicon would be cool, too.
