For those of us who still buy or "share" CDs, post here where were the last 3 you can remember adding to your collection. I've done this thread a few times in the past and it's basically so we can share our different music tastes in a little more depth than the "currently listening" thread. Post a short review of the CD if you feel so inclined.
I'll start us off.

A Skylit Drive - Wires... And The Concept Of Breathing
I first heard about this band on purevolume.com and I loved them right from the start. I got this CD a few weeks ago and it hasn't left my car stereo yet. Even though there are about four or five songs that I really enjoy, I could listen to the whole album without ever skipping a song. It's solid all around. If I were to describe their sound, I'd say it's a mix between Saosin and Underoath. Maybe a bit of The Fall of Troy in there as well. I've been hoping Heru would come online so I could ask him if he's ever heard these guys. I'm pretty sure he'd enjoy it.

The Spill Canvas - No Really, I'm Fine
I've known about them for quite a while, but never really gave them enough of a chance to really decide if I liked them or not. So I thought I'd get their latest album and see what's what. Well, it kind of fell flat. There's only a few songs I like on the entire album, and that really bums me out. They kind of remind me of Jimmy Eat World, only not nearly as good.

MGMT - Oracular Spectacular
I bought this CD because I've been hooked on their single, "Time To Pretend", for weeks. It gets steady airplay on most alternative stations, and it's really catchy. The rest of the album is alright, I guess. It'd be a whole hell of a lot better if I was into thing like LSD or Heroin. Really spacey stuff.

Hahaha, Atlas. "Punk Rock Princess" started playing when I had iTunes on shuffle and I literally thought to myself "Oh God, what was I thinking in 8th grade?"
Then you posted this.

Whatever Liz, you're just jealous.
I DJed a "middle school" party a few months ago at college and we listened to Punk Rock Princess about 10 times. Then someone wanted to hear Konstantine and in about 10 seconds flat EVERY GIRL IN THE ROOM was in tears. :P

If the theme was middle school haven't I made my point?
And yes, if any of the guys here are reading this, learn to play Konstantine on the guitar and you will get laid.

You know, it's been a while since I bought some CDs... Let's see, I'll list three I know I bought semi-recently. :)
http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh9/electricbanana/summerinabaddon.jpg
Summer in Abaddon - Pinback
If you like hectic+peaceful mixed into one, you'll like them. They're usually pretty mellow sounding. My brother got me into this band (like he has a lot of the stuff I like, strange). If you want to check out a few of their songs on this album: Fortress (http://youtube.com/watch?v=lXH35QA9XeM) | AFK (http://youtube.com/watch?v=Ho8GvNuG7rM)
http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh9/electricbanana/bestillplease.jpg
Be Still Please - Portastatic
If you guys remember me going on and on about Superchunk, well this has the same lead singer, Mac McCaughan. I love him like whoa (look at your records, if any of them say "Merge Records" he and Laura Ballance (bassist for Superchunk) are responsible for that band existing. :p) Anyway, mellow music...beautiful. I love it. Sample from the album: Song For A Clock (http://youtube.com/watch?v=1VnhTGmL2qI)
http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh9/electricbanana/allthetimeintheworld.jpg
All the Time in the World - Lazlo Bane
This was the first album I downloaded off of iTunes, I was a stingy bitch for a while, and then I caved and downloaded this. If you don't recognize the band name, think of the opening theme to Scrubs, Superman (http://youtube.com/watch?v=_Pu_bpqLZKI). Superman is on this album. Another song: All the Time in the World (http://youtube.com/watch?v=6xB-Ky-lYds) (don't know what the visual is all about)...
I would highly recommend the first two, Lazlo Bane's album is a little weak... Half of the songs are great, the other half kind of blow.

Blaqk Audio - CEXcells ---
Blaqk Audio is essentially AFI gone Industrial Dance/Club. I love the album. Tracks "Stiff Kittens", "The Love Letter", and "Bitter for Sweet" are excellent, moody and very very much worth the purchase of the CD on their own.
Check it out if you like: Depeche Mode, VNV Nation, AFI, etc.

Puscifer - V is for Viagra(The Remixes) ---
Puscifer has had me in the palm of their hand since their musical appearance in the first Underworld movie. Maynard James Keenan, of Tool and A Perfect Circle fame, calls Puscifer his "Artistic Outlet" and there's a good reason: These Songs are like nothing you've heard, and they're like everything you've heard. Puscifer's CD "V is for Vagina" was excellent, if odd, and this Remix album takes all those songs and says "Okay now have sex to it..."....You should own this album.
Check it out if you like: Tool, A Perfect Circle, just about anything else...

VAST - Nude ---
VAST has a sound unlike any band I can nail down. Equal parts emotive(not emo), rock, and dance, they are just plain different...and god bless them for it. Just an excellent band.
Check it out if you like: no idea..

Possibly because you wouldnt expect a Nicaraguan yuppie lawyer to even know who Emilie Autumn is?
And I only began to listen to her recently so I dont know about her earlier work.

I buy single songs through iTunes, I have given up on CDs, nowadays they're something like 1-4 good tracks plus shit.

I think I'm one of the few people who actually buy CDs, nowadays. I prefer albums over single songs any day.
