So with the new advent of the AllRPG Forums and the Migration over to the new servers, we are changing format to be more community oriented. You already know this. What you do not know is what kind of money it takes to keep this site running....
With transferring this over I had to upgrade my service and it's now costing me more than I anticipated to maintain this. I'm still willing to do it, don't get me wrong, but I'm going to be asking that if you can....donate to AllRPG to help me keep the site moving and the forums up and running.
Whether you can donate 5 bucks or 500 bucks, all of it will go to keeping the site up, running, and fully funded.
We can't offer a LOT of incentive yet, but the first thing we can offer is listed sponsorship....If you donate, you'll be listed as a sponsor both here and on the site. For instance, for his donation, Blue_Eon is a Sponsor for the rest of 2008.
It'll work something like this:
Donations of $5-$10 - 1 Week Sponsorship, and on the Sponsorship page of the site when it goes up you're listed as a Sponsor.
Donations of $15-$20 - 1 Month Sponsorship, and on the Sponsorship page of the site, you're listed as a Sponsor.
Donations of $50-$99 - 6 Month Sponsorship, and on the Sponsorship page of the site, you're listed as a Senior Member and Lead Sponsor.
Donations over $100 - Lifetime Sponsorship and on the sponsorship page of the site, you're listed as an AllRPG Gold Member and Gold Sponsor.
With all levels you can also have a personalized title of "Sponsor/Lead Sponsor/Gold Sponsor" listed beneath your name or in your signature, etc. I'm also hoping to have associated little Sponsor Bars as well, but I have to figure out how to do that. Also, being a Sponsor will give you extra "leverage" in upcoming forum events, and give you first access to any special contests we'll be having, and new site content/giveaways. It will also give you access to a few other things we'll be announcing later.
All of these can also be anonymous if you don't want to be listed.
So please....try and donate if you can. AllRPG has given alot to all of you(and to me), so try and give back to make sure it's not going anywhere anytime soon....even $5 helps, as from what I'm estimating, with expanded coverage, unlimited bandwidth and storage, the site is costing around $1.75 a day to maintain.
Send all Donations via Paypal to paypal@perfect-drug.org, and please be sure to include your forum username in the message so I know who it is....or don't, if you want to remain anonymous. All transactions WILL remain anonymous in terms of exact figures.
