We (my parents and I) went to my Aunt's house in Sanger to celebrate the day as a family... My Uncle's family came over too (Aunt's husband), and COMPLETELY ignored us. After an hour of listening to them talk, get shitfaced, and never include us in any conversations, we decided to leave... We decided, we could talk to each other and remember Grandpa at home...

After we got home, my Mom called my Grandma to ask when the power came back on... My Grandma tore my Mom a "new one," so to speak. Telling her "Why didn't you stay there to support your sister?"

What the hell has my Aunt gone through in the last two years that needs supporting???

My Mom: Had cancer, had a car accident+trial for her son, AND lost her father.

I am SO irritated at my Grandmother right now, and it feels so awkward because I've never been mad at her in my life. She's always treated my Mom like this, but todays events TOTALLY crossed the line! I was even crying earlier! Trying to understand how parents can be SUCH jerks to their children! I mean, I wouldn't say my Mom has always been "sunshine and lollipops" to me, but damn, she's never been like THAT to me.

It wasn't awful, no.....the story idea was cool....the acting was okay...etc. My biggest problem with it was twofold:

-The Writing could have been better.

-The Stupid "Haduken" energy balls got a bit excessive, and as such, the fights could have been more imaginative. Like the scene where Caleb started throwing pitchforks. More like that would have been cool. Using their magic to manipulate more than partially clear balls of force.

The Royal Tenenbaums is on the tube. Good movie. I love stories about extremely dysfunctional families. Not only does it make me feel better about my own life, but it's very entertaining.

Gonna whine/rant here a minute.

Couple of years ago, I had a tooth that was bothering me. Honestly, I have never had worse pain, and I've had three kids. We couldn't afford to have it fixed, so I just had to deal with it for around a year. I couldn't eat, because every time I did, it just made it a hundred times worse. The only good thing was I lost around 20 pounds during that year. I finally got it fixed at tax time last year.

Now, my husband is having a tooth problem. Just started bugging him last night, but already, it's all he talks about, and he's going nuts trying to figure out how to get the money to get it worked on. Borrow, sell stuff, whatever, it's all he can think about.

It just bugs me that it was ok for me to suffer for so long, but because it's him, it has to be fixed now. I know it hurts, and it makes me feel like a bitch to feel this way, but I had to rant about it somewhere, not to him, so here I am.

My husband went to Wal Mart, bought 2 books (Hardback), 3 12 packs of Cokes, a pack of Oreos, some Cheese Nips, and MGS4. Total Price? 49 bucks. Apparently, the cashier ran the game over the de-activator, so it didn't set off the alarm, but neglected to actually scan it, so he wasn't charged!

I have a massive headache... Got it randomly last night just before bed...those are the worst. Stupid nerve damage. :(

...yeah...still have that headache---it's warped into one of my nerve headaches, which is easier to just call "a migraine." Nausea, pounding head when I stand up... Bad times. Been sitting/lying on my bed all day... :(

I'm serious when I say the following: To all of you...Every single one. Get the Zoster Vaccine. NOW. Especially if you've had chicken pox! The Zoster Vaccine will prevent you from getting Shingles... Shingles is why I have this mess of nerve damage... If you've had Shingles once, you can get it many times after... The result is more and more nerve damage... So please... Get the Zoster Vaccine. I wouldn't wish this kind of pain on anyone!

I'm lucky in that I've only had it once, but I've got the nerve damage to show for it... Seriously...Get the Zoster Vaccine.

I'm serious... The Shingles itself was the most agonizing pain I've been in, in my life time... This migraine business I've got going on now is just a small percentage of the amount of pain I was in for three weeks straight.

I had it on my face... The blisters were on my chin... The whole right side of my face was swollen for about a week, and I couldn't eat anything because I couldn't open my mouth... It was awful. I had to drink Ensure for about a week and a half, and that stuff is NASTY.
