There are nine, but early on you really only have access to one, The Way of White, from the fat knight right inside Firelink Shrine.

Which covenant are you in? Which do you want to join?

I am Unaffiliated at the moment, but I will be joining Chaos Servants soon. I really want Poison and Toxic Cloud (and the Pyromancies, too, I guess). I'm not playing online at the moment (my Internet sucks right now), so I'm not sure of the PvP ramifications, but we shall see whenever I get a new router.

Also, word of warning, don't go switching whichever you pick without first doing all you need to for their items, as some of them won't allow later re-joining.

Apprently these Covenants make it so that people are more likely to see / join others in PvP or multiplayer if they are the same Covenant.

Soooo, anyone want to try and go Way of White and join up? I need to farm 25k souls for one last Pyromancy from the Chaos Servant covenant, then I can abandon it without missing out on anything it offered.

I aggroed the Forest Hunters, so that's out for me if any of you have joined that. I can fix though Absolution, but that costs 114,000 souls for me at this point. Not saving up that much.

Since I'm a cleric, I naturally am part of The Way of Light. I came already signed up. Though of course, I am on the lookout to switch to something with real cleric spells. I'm getting tired of being a fighter with extra healing and a handy teleport to fire.

I want to join the forest covenant so I can access their shop. I also want to join the Darkwraiths at some point but I'm terrified of having to fight the 4 Kings.

Priest, there's one called Princess Guard that seems tailor made for Miracles. You can join after beating Ornstein & Smough.

I'm in Way of the White because it's the only one I've had a chance to join.

I desperately wanted to kill that cunt when she showed in firelink shrine praying to the vases, though. Her and her cronies. Man they are douchey.

Messed up with the covenants so badly the first playthrough Typical Demon's/Dark Souls fashion - to refuse to inform you of things that can drastically alter how you play the game.

Oh, and I'm in the Chaos Servant covenant at the moment.

Well, I decided to meet my pal Nito and become a Gravelord Servant. Cool part is...whenever I go back down to Quelaag's Domain, they don't act like I switched Covenants. Eingyi still sells stuff and upgrades my Pyro Flame, and the White Witch lady says the same stuff when I talk to her with the Old Witch's Ring. I had already maxed out everything I could get, so there was no point in staying in it. The Izalith shorcut stays open, too. No downside to switching from Chaos Servant, it seems!

The Chaos Servant leader...she is such a sad, frail thing by the way. Made me feel bad for killing Quelaag.

Oh by the way: Izalith Shortcut = respawning Titanite demon = unlimited Demon Titanite. Awesome.

It is right before the Demon Ruins boss that looks like the Stray Demon with fire. Take a right, then meander down a tree root.

This was my first time seeing Izalith, and all the dinos, from the bridge there.

Yeah, I remember that spot now. I made my way down to that area earlier and killed off everything and got the good items, but here's the kicker! I forgot that I can't go past the door of yellow light yet I did that the first time through the game as well, but this time I should've known better XD Oh well. It's worth it for the items you get
