Steam for Mac?

Click

It certainly seems so. Awesome for me, I guess. I don't know how many of you folks are Mac users.

I wonder if PC and Mac Steam users can play games with each other? Would that be possible, or just some wishful thinking?

I wonder if they'll use the same license/account for the Mac version, so you can use both if you choose. That would be interesting to find out.

And I'm pretty sure there's nothing to limit them from cross-platform online play, but that doesn't necessarily mean it'll happen.

I don't think that means all steam games will work on Mac either, right? Though last time I checked the only game Mac could play, that was of any relevance anyways, was Halo 2.

I don't think there's been much effort put that way, since its kind of counter intuitive to advertise to the common person but at the same time have advanced computer gaming. It would be huge if steam even converted the hl2 series and the left for dead series to macs however.

I had a bitch of a time installing a Windows partition in order to play Civ 4 and L4D2 with you nerdfaces on Steam. :P If I could have done it easier, I'll be pissed.

Well it looks like they'll be producing authetic mac format games, not just shitty ports. HL 2 is going to be formatted I hear, plus new games.

Yeah that is one of the deals, you buy HL2 on the PC, and then you can also play it on the mac with the same steam account, at least all the Source titles will be made cross compatible.

Also, moving from IE to a webkit based browser on the steam beta was a move towards the Mac Steam
